Yomiiiiiiii
Kataki, Iāll play you on there. Have you got a stick for it? It really comes alive with a nice Japanese 3 button layout IMO, feels very fluid after a while.
Gotta laugh at ultra die-hards who persist in seeing VF2 as some kind of majestic masterpiece, never to be bettered, I mean, cāmonā¦
Sure, that Bun Bun era looks epic in these old videos, but that was a long time ago, and surely only a few people even in Japan still actually play the older VF games heavily?? Plus of course, the early 3-D graphics, much smaller cast, far less moves, and as has been pointed out, some rather insane damage properties!
I think VF has really yet to come alive in the west, and if we look at VF5, it was kind of slept on, even though most people who do own it and play it agree itās an excellent game.
By the time the next one comes around, I hope SEGA can promote it with more hype, glamour and some kind of wow-factor (flying over the cream of Japanās arcade VF scene to an American tournament with official merchandise prizes for example)
Then, with the increased proliferation of fast broadband connections, greater penetration of this-gen console ownership, and more people out there (largely thanks to Mad Catz) with a suitable controller, this series could finally blow up and get the attention, respect and player-base itās always deserved.
Whatever happened to BunBun Maruās Jean? He dropped him? I havenāt seen much of his Jean in the first place though.
Bun Bun has no business playing Jean. He better stick to Wolf, if he knows whatās good for him.
But didnāt he quit Wolf for Jean? I remember there was a match of some Wolf player vs Bun Bunās Jean and one of the comments left was about how the fan wanted Jean to lose to Wolf because Bun Bun left Wolf.
I do prefer karate Iori w/eyeliner to Wolf though.
Itās undeniably a great game though. You could apply your argument to SSF2T, (except for the few people playing part, and even then I doubt you can prove that one way or another) but no one would argue that Super Turbo is not a very high-quality game.
I certainly hope youāre right. But I doubt it.
Iām sure most will disagree, but in my opinion Virtua Fighter doesnāt suffer much when played on a pad. The only real disadvantage Iāve ever felt was the D-Pad as opposed to a real stick, but iām sure thatās something a pad player could easily overcome.
Anyway my point is I agree, I hope this newest Virtua Fighter catches on. I doubt it will, but I hope.
Ok good to know i wasnt crazyā¦
I remember tons of vids on Youtube of bunbunmarus Jean. I also read that he had the best Jean in Japan but i dunno if that was true. In anycase, one day all his vids on youtube vanished.
BunBun doesnāt have the best anything in 5R, but heās still a very good player. He works for Famitsu now so I donāt think he has a lot of time to actually play, unlike the elite players who are all either unemployed young adults or university students.
Bun Bun will always have the best Wolf.
Reno, looks like you donāt wtf yer talking about.
Lol, Reno knows I was just kidding. BunBun is a personal favorite of mine, his Wolf isnāt the best but I love his playstyle and the intensity he brings to matches.
will this one have anyone new to VF5? apart from Jeanā¦

what on earth
Coincidentally, I just saw that vid on Kamaageās channel and I was asking about it on VFDC. That wasnāt what I think it was, was it?
What
Lol what the hell? Jean is it?
He does it in other videos. I think you can shake out of it.
Most balanced and deep game, yeah right lmfao

You can get out. Not that big of a deal.
