I’ve gotten it randomly a bunch of times in player and room matches. Maybe there’s a way to select it AS WELL AS the Vanilla and R versions of the stages because those were dope. Like 4Evo allowed you pick 4.0 stages. I know this is just a port, but hopefully if it sells well they’ll support it with more content. Meaning shit that would’ve already been in the game had this been a few years ago. Also, people not being able to see outfits is fucking stupid. I can possibly understand them not being able to customize, but to not be able to see it is just dumb. I paid the extra $15, but at this point I wouldn’t mind if they made them free. I feel sorry for peeps who bought it without knowing there was a complete edition available. So they bought outfits for a few charas but would have to spend a bit of grip just to buy others. Damn.
On a lighter note, game is still that crack. Losing sleep between player matches with solid peeps and local. Jeff has changed so much since 5.0. Heard its an actual “nerf” from R but I’m loving this new brutal style. Lacking a few good lows but he can still condition people.
I knew I had nostalgia for the series that no other game could replace, but I think FS might actually be my fave fg…until TTT2 comes out. But for now, Taka/Jeff all day.
J. Kujo could add a cool blue electric bracelet (long, bloody roar 1-style light trails) on his wrist in 5d. I especially want that. Can’t find it. He doesn’t have any wrist items, just gloves.
XBLA size restrictions prolly at play here. According to Sega and the reps that have been dragging the demo ver around to events over the last few months this is also the reason why all the customization is paid DLC rather than free DLC or even packaged into the game itself and unlocked via in game gold/etc. TBH having all the customization options at from jump feels wrong to me, especially since when I used to play the older games in the series on arcade you could tell who the badasses, vets, or coin dumpers were simply by what items they had. Now you have random mashers with items you used to have to get past the Dan ranks to get. lol
I would not be surprised if this was true(as Tekken 6 and Arcana Heart 3 are both victims of MS’s various policies), but yes, share that source.
Can’t wait to get some matches in when I get the chance. That is cool the stage showed up so you maybe right on a way to select it and I agree about costumes they give VF a look that attracts players imo.

i’m sorry, but…and i’m not a sony fanboy or anything but its not our fault that we didn’t cop the xbox. its already bad enough that we got duped into believing the ps3 would have exclusives (when most were released for both systems), which was the selling point of the system early on, but now we can’t even get games the way that they were intended to be.

maybe we’ll get a patch with better sound, commentary, the missing intros and something for custom items. i mean don’t get me wrong, the game is dope and i’m addicted to it but it just irks me. i want what i saw in those japanese youtube vids and what we got is not that.
Probably going to spend some more time with the game today to find a character I like and so I can buy costume pack to for them. I just like customising my characters. But first I’ll get good enough with a character to warrant costumes. Can’t have a button bashing noob have costumes. Gives the wrong impression.
Isn’t it the case though that even if you download one pack, you still download like a 2gb download? I assume that’s all the costumes, whichc is fine, wince it’s basically a compatibility pack then, but then ive heard that you can only still see only the costumes that you have bought?

Been playing online. So far I’ve played 32 games and won 18 out of them. I think that’s not bad for a newbie at this. I’ve only had one match that was actually laggy. Mind I don’t know how active online will be after awhile. I get the feeling on PSN people who are playing this got it fro free with PS+. I’m a sucker who bought the game, which I now don’t regret and I kinda like it now.
And if that’s true about no one being able to see your costumes because they don’t have them kinda sucks. Glad I didn’t get them in the end if I can’t spread my wonderful creations with people I fight.
Everyone has them. The glowing wrist bracelet is under ‘Wrists’, but you gotta un-equip any gloves whoch are under ‘Hands’. The glowing toe bracelets are under the category ‘Feet’ and the sparkling anklet is under ‘Shins’.
Only came here to say this: this game is probably the best FG right now, for 15$ you can’t go wrong (is free is you are a PS+ member), this game is amazing and i can’t stop playing it, remembers me the fun times with VF4, FG fans shouldn’t miss this game at any costs. <3 you sega.
True. But you know we’re not in that era anymore, sadly lol. And I agree it feels weird to have access to everything from the start just because you payed your way through life. You naturally associate customs with the grind. A guy might not have the best ratio W-L, but you know he put burn on that cabinet.
Fuck I hate the shafting of digital age and when IPs go multiplatform on diff hardware and downgrade. I so wish this was a disk game. Like I said, I’ll drop $60 on it right now if they so chose to pull an UMvC3 stunt. And only in this case because I support the few remaining TRUE fgs left.
No doubt bro. Get at me when you can. And that’s just aesthetic stuff. But I thought that some of the stages not only had changes to music, time of day, and scenery from 5.0 to R to FS, but also actual variations to the walls and fences. I THINK. And so that’s how I justify this “want” from a gameplay perspective. If I truely exposed myself, you’d hear me mention bringing wallpaper and other shit back lol.
I played 10 games and i got dc’d once in a match and one in the loading screen after both players are “ready” and you can see opponent’s character.
I only had two “lagless” matches and others were pretty bad with input lag (if both players were blocking and when i decided to attack my opponent, he somehow attacked me first (wtf? there was no way i could see that coming -.-)
Online is pretty much smashfest, atm. Didnt see many opp. with actual idea what they were doing.
So like i said, i think its a good game, but if you are online warrior (even with good connection) i suggest you to re-consider purchasing this game. Howerer, if you know some ppl with good connection near your area, its a good buy.
Gladly, im PSN+ member so its was a free download for me, tho i did like the offline play!
I couldn’t agree more a ton of new players are trying out the game and a lot of people take advantage of wifi on the PS3. After a month or two most of the people playing will be more experienced VFers or new players starting to get serious. Nine times out of ten they will understand direct connection is the only way to go and the current situation will improve.
I can totally see people becoming online warriors in this game, any incarnation of SF4 has online warriors and they tolerate much worse lag. Marvel has terrible netcode but there are tons of online players who cope with the lag using more simple combos. If they can make such huge concessions then VF5FS isn’t anywhere near as bad.
VF5FS has lag? I really haven’t noticed any. It seems pretty smooth and so far no games have been truly laggy. I have had a few stutters but that’s all. Shame no one in the same area as me (UK) is online, so I’ve been playing worldwide and all matches have been good.
Not sure if it’s a good thing about the PS+ being free.

I live in EU and i got wired connection. I can play the same amount of games (10) in UMvC3 and SFxT without having that many lag issues, but yeah… Like i said VF5:FS is a good game, but its a shame that online is pretty bad. (atleast for me)
