Yeah, so now Greenbrier mall is getting crowded again.
All it took was 3S, MvC2, and Soul Calibur 2. Now on Fridays and Saturday nights, tons of people show up. There’s even people on Thursdays.
Even I started to play 3rd Strike, which I haven’t done since like, 2002. I’ve been missing out.

Oh shit Nick! I haven’t seen you in ages. I’m sorta kinda thinking about going to Greenbrier after work tomorrow just to see.

I told him about it the last time he was at the arcade setting up SVC Chaos (ugh) and he said he’d fix it. Heard nothing about it, then got the # for the Arlingtion Tilt store and called Sunday and Johnny answered the phone!!! He’s the acting manager there now, so here’s how the conversation went:
Flip: Yo Johnny, this is Kevin
Johhny: What is it
Flip: Remember what we talked about last time with the damage settings on the Marvel cabinet in that store
Johnny: Yeah the difficulty is suppose to be set on max
Flip: Right, but not the damage
Johnny: So what’s the problem
Flip: The damage and difficulty are two seperate things, the damage affects the characters and difficulty is the gameplay
Johnny: It’s suppose to be at the maximum
Flip: Uh, no, if you go into the game test mode and look at data configuration you’ll see they’re two seperate values
Johnny: Well it looks it runs fine to me
Flip: bangs head on table
Then he kept giving me the run around, saying everything is correct on the machine, but I know he was too fucking lazy to actually go to the NAOMI board and press two fucking buttons.
Here’s the final option, there’s a customer feedback form on Tilt’s main website, if this shit isn’t fixed soon, like by the end of the week, I’m filling out the form, which goes to the VP Kevin Jordan, who will then tell Chuck the RM, who will then shit on Johnny to fix it. I had to take this route to hold a Marvel tourney and it’s the last resort, but I guess I have no other choice.
I will easily write a formal report on how Johnny sucks. Then link everybody to the same form, asking them to copy and paste the complaint.
What? are you serious? I stop by every once in a while. I’ll try to go up there on a friday or saturday to see whats up with marvel and sc2.

10x wanna play sometime this week/weekend? I got duty Thursday and Sunday ( Ship leaves Monday ) but I can play any other day. And I don’t have my car…so IDK but I’m only like 5min away…just post or give me a call…

I think playin with you made me better I went to a tourney down in Florida and played some guys and I beat a few guys I couldn’t beat before…Didn’t get a chance to play Flash but I think I would have beat him.

anyway, i need your opinions:
im finally getting the kinks out of the dates for the tournament im doing here in richmond. What games do you guys want. what time do you want this to go down. and of course how much cash you willing to put up.
i ask you guys because you are the closest to the location (and my heart) and this is our area. so let me know what you guys want to see. This isn’t going to be huge the first time but im hoping to make it a monthly.
Johnny is the middle aged district manager of Tilt for the east coast. He HATES gamers, he constantly bitches about them to my manager. He mentioned Pete to me when we talked last, about he was being bothered by some big guy who wanted Marvel changed and if I knew him. I told him he’s just like me, a gamer who’ll only support and arcade if they meet gamer needs being having everything working and correct.
Only reason why he’s in the Arlington area is because the whole staff of that Tilt was either stealing money or riding the clock, to where the whole staff was either terminated or suspended, including management. Hell I was asked to manage that store, but f’n 30k to live in NOVA, frack that:rolleyes: Anyway no matter how much you explain something to him that requires him to do an ounce of work he won’t do anything he doesn’t want to.
So that’s why I’m putting the form out there, so I’ll wait until Friday when I’ll call him again and mention this to him again and explain again it’s the gamers who make Tilt money and they will only pump money into machines if they work right and are set correctly whew. If not, I’m filling out a form and posting a link in threads for others to complete, but please don’t say something like “Kevin told me to fill this out” cause I’m already on his shitlist.
im going to try to go to greenbrier this friday late hopefully by 8pm for some mvc2 and sc2. ill try to get ryry to go too.
