If Ken has any plans to go to C3, he hasn’t told me about them. I think the only way he’s going is if you physically pick him up and pay his entry fees.

For the final match b/w Sanford and Steve, it was down to Steve - P Groove Blanka R2 and Sanford - C Groove Sagat R2. Sanford is just about dead and misses a tiger upper, Steve didn’t connect with a roll afterwards so Sanford is down to no pixels, I’m talking any poke, block damage, curse word, wrong look and the tourney is over. Steve rushes in to poke, Sanford throws. At this point I think Steve tried a wake up roll or poke, but Sanford throws AGAIN. Steve is in the same boat with no life and Sanford with a full gauge. Steve couldn’t parry as soon as his character got up, so level 3 tiger shot block damage FTW.
It looks like I’ll be able to make the 8/18 C3 after all. So I guess I’ll see everyone there.

I’m a CT player from Danbury who just transferred colleges. I’m gonna be attending Carnegie Mellon in Pittsburgh, but my family is moving down to Virginia Beach. Anyway I’m hoping theres some kind of action in the 757.
I play a good chunk of games. MvC2, CvS2, and every Tekken (1-5DR). I’m no scrub, and I can give decent comp. I also dabble with 3s, s2t, and GGX2R, but don’t expect much there. I mainly play arcade/stick cause I’m into the Marvel 2 crack. But I play console for CvS2 and Tekken like it’s my job.
So where do people game? Whats the scene like? Good arcades, or console? Get at me, lemme know the deal!

Wait! hes just like me, I need lots more practice in many more games(ex:3S/CvS2)too.
The main arcade in the area is Play a Round Golf and Games in Newport News. It has MvC2, 3S, and T5DR. They also hold monthlies there. Other than that, though, it’s pretty much all console and gatherings at people’s houses.
When do you arrive in the area? Ken and I go back to school in the fall, and I think Aaron does too.
There is a Marvel cabinet up at the Oceanfront, but I don’t think it’s properly maintained seeing as though they can never keep the damn settings to default. The sticks are usable to me sometimes but sometimes they seem sticky. I’m not exactly sure where you’re going to be in Va Beach.
I live on the west side of Virginia which is like a stone’s throw away from Cheaspeake so I’m not exactly sure where you’re family’s going to be. I only play MvC2 really I’m trying to get back into 3S but failing miserable. If you do see me, I’m a Strider/Doom-only player. I’m pretty sure the Tekken scene is good here, should try to find a guy Ryry he’s probably one of the best players in the SOVA area, I think he said he was going to Evo as well I’m not too sure, but I think he qualified when he went to Final Round.
