Gametrailers did a top 10 fighting game series. I think they nailed it on the head for the most part. A few o_O’s here and there. I.e. if anyone thinks Tekken is lower than 3rd as an important series to our genre, you’re kidding yourself. Other than that, it was a good list and GGXX was even on it :woot:
I would say those probably are the top 10 games, but I question the order they were in…

The only series that should have been on that list is Smash. But, that is assuming you are calling Smash a “fighting game.”

I like it better this way. Tell the masses that it isn’t a fighting game, and then the people that have a clue and understand what a fighting game really is can play it and take it seriously.
Maybe that will help it’s case?

Hahaha, was that at fusion? I kinda remember someone fighting a little kid there.
I think that was Fusion 2005, right? It was definitely Eric Lee, and I think he lost a round because of timeover. It was the one where we all went to Hooters afterwards and ate a bunch of chicken wings.
Hahaha, yeah that was fusion. That shit was hilarious, I’ve actually been hanging out with Derek Shelton a lot lately. I asked him the other day if he is going to start fusion in Richmond and he just cringed at me. Plus, it wouldn’t be the same if it was outside of Roanoke.
