Yeah no shit.
Sounded like the boy was trying to summon the devil and got God instead.
ROFL.
we gotta find out what game this is
I talked to the admin of the site about the game. He told me that the game is called, World Masterpiece Battle. He says doesn’t remember where he downloaded the game, so there’s probably no chance at all of playing it, if you interesting in doing that.
Seems that the game is based off of some really old cartoon series called, World Masterpiece Theater. Honestly I have no idea what’s it about, as I really haven’t look deep into. Maybe I’ll do it when I’m not so tired.
But yes, as you probably thought, it is a fan-made game. Your also probably thinking, wtf, who want to make a fighter based off of such a thing? Well guess what? Some crazy japanese made a fighter based off of Les Miserables, so the existence of this quacky fighter shouldn’t be much of a shock I guess.
Some site with World Masterpiece Theater stuff:
Haven’t really been dedicated to finding new websites, so I’ve just been checking the old ones I’ve already posted up.
http://page.freett.com/oirobiks/a-betusabadouga.html has just one new video up.
Coming soon Primal Rage combo vid and also other featuring Battle Monsters wich was played here relatively well…

congratulations, you all have further defiled my hard drive.
Not sure if this is considered “obscure” but i would really like to know if there are SF3 NG or 2nd impact match videos available (other than the combo clips on combovideos). I’m a devoted 3S fan but i’ve never played these 2 other games from the series. Thanks.
Can Psychic Force 2012 be counted as a fighting game? My friend and I made some matches couple weeks ago, but my VCR/PC capture device won’t work with any system under PS2, XBox and Gamecube. The preview screen freezes.
Obscure maybe, but definitely not hella obscure. It seems to me that there quite are few causal SF fans that know about NG and 2i, but it’s probably mainly because they’ve actually played those titles or that they actively searched to see how many actual SF games there are. So, I think those games are somewhat known, but no one just plays them.
Why wouldn’t it?
The first evil zone combo isn’t something you’ll see in a match. Its basically doing haohmaru fierces on rolento with his taunt interupting them, only in this case its basically a super move getting interupted by a teched grab.
A grab that catches you from a full screen thing anyway? Is it any good?
hahah no shit, i just ordered that game today. obscure yes, but also quite good when i played it a while ago. there’s actually balance and strategy involved.
Its slow(for a grab), highly visable(big red circle by your feet), and can be “teched” even if your doing something else(as is evident by the video). Everyone has three grabs in evil zone. Standard grab that everyone is used to, far grab, and really far grab. Far and really far are basically the same, you just get a different 1-4 second cutscene depending on which one you do.
here is the link to the promised Primal rage vid.
Hope you like it people!

Very nice video, I knew the combo system was lenient in RAGE, but I thought some of those Tiger jump combos you did would have brought up the Cheeze factor?
I see I didn’t play Rage as much as you guys (actually it died out in the States about a few months after it’s release). After seeing that vid, I have to find the Jamma board now.
Awesome video Hanzo, I look forward to the Battle Monters one (if you’re still going to do one?).
Ok. The cheese factor happens in certains situations…I will explain the mos commons:
Attempted throw or unblockable attack immediately after a blocked
attack (while opponent is trapped in “block-stun”)
Attempt to use same special move twice in a combo (slow & fast
projectiles are considered to be two different special moves)
Attempt to use the same basic move more than five times in a combo
Two low 3+4s in a combo
Both Blizzard’s Freeze Breath and Ice Geyser in a combo
Three of Blizzard’s 1+2s in a combo
Three of Chaos’ 1+2s in a combo
Two of Diablo’s air 1+2s in a combo
Two of Diablo’s air 3+4s in a combo
Two of Sauron’s air 1+2s in a combo
Two of Sauron’s air 3+4s in a combo
Two of Talon’s low 3s in a combo
Two of Talon’s low 4s in a combo (version 2.3 only)
Both Vertigo’s Come Slither and Voodoo Spell in a combo
Vertigo teleporting in, doing a combo, then teleporting out
Note: On version 1.7, one could string Talon’s low 4s together in a combo
by doing a low 4, interrupting it with the Run Backwards move, immediately
doing another low 4, and so on. Since Talon’s low 4 has a long range and
relatively little knockback, one could string five of them together at any
time for a nasty combo.
That is possible on the genesis version.
Thx for the props. Im glad that you liked it. And yes, the BM combo vid will be released in the upcoming weeks…
Aside from where you put SNES, GEN, GB etc…on the screen, Did you do most those combos on the 2.3 version?
I’m just asking, as I’m having trouble getting either of the (1 or 3) light attacks to connect after the 1+2 power attack with Diablo, it’s like I’m getting pushed too far out of range?
So how many versions of PR were there? I knew about the 2.0 and 2.3 versions. I didn’t know there was a 1.7?
That was an interesting Primal Rage combo video. I notice “everyone” has a 20 Hit combo. Unless some of those 20 Hit combos don’t work on Talon.
BTW, I wonder if you used the Midway Arcade Treasures 2 version (with the SF style moves) or played it on MAME (where you have to hold 2 buttons and do motions)? Also, since there’s combo names, I believe its the last version of it, which is I think 2.3.
Also, I notice at the end you did some MACE: The Dark Age infinite where you kinda messup the Hit Count after 77 Hits. I take it that’s the next video, unless you had that done as well?
Yes they were done on 2.3.
Yes there were many PR revisions. BTW the Genesis version is based on 1.7.
Yes. PR programmers set a 20 hit limit to every combo. After that the opponent goes “invisible” to any other incoming attack. The only way I have found to “break” this 20 hit combo limit is using the Blizzard Move “punching bag” at the end of a combo.
And yes. Most of these combos can be done only on Blizzard because of his huge size and he has the HUGEST hit stun in the game.
Neither MAT2 or MAME. They were recorded from the PSX version of the game. The MAT dont allow for jump cancel stuff properly and there are few differences ghere and there… And for MAME I dont have the hartdware enough to screen capture and play at the same time.
Its a glitch . It wasnt planned because MACE has a very limited combo engine and most of the stuff we have is pretty basic. BUT we have a lot of funny stuff in WARGODS… but its in the n64 version and I dont know if people will bash it for not being “legit” arcade perfect… You know how the hardcore gamer is… :wgrin:
Thx for the feedback!
Got any Kensei: Sacred Fist videos?
I’m looking for this other game, I played it on arcade around uh… 1989-91. It was a wrestling game with incredibly smooth gameplay. So smooth in fact, that I remember being amazed at smooth it was, still. It had 3D movement in a wrestling ring, but graphics were 2D. The only character I remember was someone looking alot like Tekken’s King (Purple pants, yellow headgear, …or something).
I wonder if it was around 92-93, because I think I remember it being smoother than SF2… which is what was so amazing.
It’s not a Capcom game 'cause I downloaded all of them for Kawaks. The sprites were much larger than those in Saturday Night Slam or whatever it was called. Looked real fucking good, actually.
