Fucking this. I stopped playing Platinum when i couldn’t progress cuz a 2ft tall shrug was blocking the path and none of my Pokemans had cut. Man I remember that shit from Pokemon Red/Blue and that was years ago. Still with that gimmick?

The Last Story just came out for Wii and it’s an Action RPG. I’m still at the beginning but so far it’s pretty good. We’ll see if it holds up. Much like any JRPG tho it’s better if you dig into the option menu and turn battle from Wait to Active, or in this case Auto to Manual.
I haven’t played any old school games in a while despite all the emus and roms that I have. While some are terrible like most of you say, some are still just as fun now as they were then. Maybe I just haven’t matured or something.

yo that was the first game that came to mind for me. i had to youtube it to remember shit, but it all came back to me very quickly. sad thing is i never even beat the snake boss as a kid. 
black/white were designed to be the best pokemon games to play through. they did that shit correctly. you only need to use one HM right after gym 1 (cut) and you NEVER HAVE TO USE AN HM TO GO SOMEWHERE. NOT EVEN SURF! hell i think you can even explore the majority of post-elite four routes without any HMs, but not sure. and infinite TM usage??? fucking godlike man. sure you aren’t getting the top tier TMs like Earthquake before you beat the game, but you can definitely get by with what the game gives you. most people just kind of hated the pokemon designs and the world map for being too linear, which i understand. but are minor issues imo.
