I love “Demon Seed - Jazz”…that’s in constant rotation on my iPod.
Of course I have some of Dracula X Chronicles as well. I dunno why a lot of people complain about Bloodlines, but I think it’s really good as well.
As for Lament of Innocence, I totally dig the first floor of the Ghostly Theater.
Smash Brawl’s soundtrack is 1000% EPIC.
Ok, ok, a trivia question that has plagued me for many years:
There’s a sampled vocal line that has appeared in a number of videogames which aren’t at all related, the line goes by something by “Causing much mayhem, dropping drama, (I don’t remember what else)”. The games where I’ve heard this are:
1.- Bust-a-Groove (Pinky Stage)
2.- DDR (Put Your Faith in Me)
3.- Capcom Fighting Evolution (I think that is the BGM of a stage that looks like a chessboard, all black and white squares)
Any ideas for where does this come from, why is it used in so random occasions and if it appears in any other games?
I know what you are talking about, it also appears in KoF Maximum Impact for the intro movie. I remember talking about this to a bunch of DDR players a few years back. Hella random if you ask me.
“Put Your Faith In Me” from Dance Dance Revolution
Causing much mayhem, dropping drama
Radical rebel with the need to bomb ya
Fake MCs and I’ll hang them higher
The mic is my time, to pay the piper
I can’t get that file from where I am…is this the complete song?
YO…
That’s from DDR 2nd Mix and there’s 3 versions.
14 Put Your Faith in Me 2:05
19 Put Your Faith in Me 1:26
31 Put Your Faith in Me (Jazzy Groove) 1:26
… Apparently there’s a couple more remixes of that as well.
[This is one of them - PUT YOUR FAITH IN ME SATURDAY NIGHT MIX.mp3](http://mp3.shxmedia.net/Video Game Music/Dance Dance Revolution Ultramix/PUT YOUR FAITH IN ME SATURDAY NIGHT MIX.mp3)
werd. :woot:
I think SoR1 has the best songs of the series.
otogi is the best soundtrak i think i have ever heard… i looked all over the place trying to find teh soundtrack to buy but no luck : (
as far as cartoons tho id say samari champloo
FighterX and Shadowhaxor: Yeah, I even said that it was in DDR, but I don’t think that there’s where it originally came from. In fact, Bust a Groove was released 10 months before the first DDR, so that would be the first appearance of the sample.
It think this is one of those great videogame mysteries. I could swear that I heard it in the Capcom vs. SNK soundtrack as well, but I could be wrong.
has some sweet mixes, though they’re mostly for SF3. I subscribed to his page, and so should you.
In CFE, the name of the track is At ease!? (Capcom Fighting Jam Original Sound Track), and it plays on the New York stage.
I don’t know the origin of the rap or why it’s used so much. But it’s on a few more tracks:
Tomboy [huge side] - Street Fighter III New Generation Original Arrange Album
Junk! Junk! Junk! - Moonlit Shadow (probably the most extensive usage here)
Stimulation - Capcom vs. SNK 2 Millionaire Fighting 2001 Original Soundtrack (not sure about this, it could be another part of this rap or another one)
Anyone know the song in Magnetro’s Storm Video?
hmm probably a year ago this was discussed at length in fgd. it’s in yakuza too.
anyone else use foxm1? the arcade game music player? i can’t get my m1 gui to work with the newest command-line version.
Not sure if this has been posted, but tracked down the OST from Victorious Boxers, been looking all over for this one >_<
