A few things I’ve recently downloaded from OCR over the past few weeks.
Chrono Trigger ‘Echoes of the Forest’ by AeroZ
Source is ‘Corridors of Time’ and ‘Secret of the Forest’. This recently got put out today. Love the mixed in with the synthy chiptuney sound of this. Also has a nice beat throughout a good chunk of it.
Mega Man 9 ‘Mega Blocked’ by DaMonz and Trainbeat
Source is ‘Concrete Jungle (Concrete Man Stage)’. Synthy Rock version of this theme. Source is pretty well heard throughout the mix. Kinda hoped the piano that started up about halfway through the track had stuck around but it did a nice job of leading right into the Electric guitar and Synth duo.
Metroid Prime 2 ‘Bogged Down’ by Argle
Source is ‘Torvus Bog’. This track sort of gives the impressions that it’s going to lead into a jam session with some headbanging but for the first half but it ends up being more subdued. Not as heavy as expected but still I do enjoy the tempo changes it has. Source is also very much recognized to go with synth taking up much of it. Both electric and acoustic guitars provide backup. Not sure if I was expecting this to go in heavy or not because of Metroid Metal’s version…probably.
Mega Man Battle Network 3: Blue Version ‘Network is Searching’ by Rukunetsu
Source is ‘Forest Stage (Search Man)’ and ‘Network is Spreading’. One two. One two…three. Not really familiar with the Mega Man Battle Network games as a whole but I dug this remix before listening to the sources. Synthy and very beat driven in a hip hop manner. Mix does a nice job with both sources especially like what started a 1:26.
Tidal Tempest being my ever favorite Sonic track i decided to remix it yet again.
This time i went for a more soothing and melodic type of remix while trying to keep the percussion at a minimal amount.
