Replayed SoTC a couple of weeks ago and this [media=youtube]f5YG1lHwZXw"[/media] I’m surprised I didnt catch it on my first playthrough (probably because I was too busy trying to figure out how to get that last weak point). If you can’t hear the difference you need to put on earphones so you can actually hear everything and then do a comparison. I can the differences easily without headphones on his Super Metroid renditions. Genesis wasn’t bad for sound and music at all (Streets of Rage, Sonic, etc)…it’s all dependent on how the musician decided to work with what he had. Thing is though the SNES sound chip was pretty beast back then…there’s a reason why Nintendo’s slogan back then was ‘Play It Loud’. Gecko did a damn good job with the Genesis chip though.

Something else you might also want to notice about this track is that it’s actually remixed by the same guy who did the music for this game which is pretty damn awesome. I’ve heard that this game is pretty great but I don’t have a DSi so I can’t try it out unfortunately. In terms of this ReMix, he basically turned the Bollywood knob on it a bit further just as the description says. Give it a listen…especially if you’ve played the game.
