Video Game Music Thread Ver. Once More With FEELING!

Hmmm if there were a program that allowed you to extract audio from a Saturn disc I could try to get the music from an ISO.
Until then…
This site has some MP3 rips from Saturn Bomberman Fight!

first time posting here, but I was wondering if anybody knows or has the soundtrack for both Double Dragon 1 and 2 for the NES not the arcade. Any help is appreciated

I got them on my site, but its on lockdown atm. PM me your email addy and I’ll fire off an invite to you.

You’re welcome. I haven’t played the game but I’ve been a fan of Anamanaguchi’s music since I downloaded and listened to Power Supply nearly 3 years ago. I decided to check out the album and it is the hotness. “Another Winter” my be the best track from the game. I actually found a better gamerip over at the Galbadia forums with some extra tracks: SPTGOST.rar

thank you again Reggie.

Metroid Metal put up a full song from the upcoming EP. Brinstar (Super Metroid) I like it but so far I’m finding their itZWNqox8xM"]original version a bit better. Hard to describe why but it’s probably the way how it sounds…I wanna say the original has a heavier sound to it especially with the guitars and in comparison to how some of the sections were handled. Source 1 and [for comparison purposes.

I knew eventually someone would put up a good quality version of ctVBapeXOus"]‘You’ve Sparked A War/Sparkman’](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-UIz_cUtHzM&p=DD19A4220B8B5B8F&playnext=1&index=11"[/media)from The Megas.

Just finally finished both Zone of the Enders games for the first time. Part 2 has me surprisingly addicted to the ending theme.

Excellent themes, King. Glad to see someone else who digs Super Aleste’s music. That was high quality awesome right there. I’m actually gonna work on a Aleste series album. Should be fun.

I’ve been putting together a lot of VGM over the last few weeks since I’m now able to do more converting thanks to foobar and audacity. Here’s a few of the albums I’ve put together.

Ninja Warriors AGAIN (SNES)
Pt 1: The Ninja Warriors AGAIN.part1.rar
Pt 2: The Ninja Warriors AGAIN.part2.rar
Often called just Ninja Warriors, I thought I’d use the Japanese title to differentiate it from the arcade original.

Cool Spot Music Collection (SNES/Genesis)
Cool Spot Music Collection.rar
Worth getting for the Bonus Level tracks alone but the whole soundtrack is dope. Tommy Tallarico is the man.

Sunset Riders (Genesis/SNES)
Sunset Riders.rar
The music from the arcade version was pretty sweet (get it here if you haven’t already)
so I thought I’d check out the SNES and Genesis versions and they are good in their own right. “We’re Gonna Blow You Away!” is one of my fav boss themes now.

CONTRA Black Box
Pt 1: CONTRA Black Box.part1.rar
Pt 2: CONTRA Black Box.part2.rar
Pt 3: CONTRA Black Box.part3.rar
Pt 4: CONTRA Black Box.part4.rar
Pt 5: CONTRA Black Box.part5.rar
Contains music from Contra (Arcade, NES, MSX), Super Contra (Arcade), Super C (NES), Operation C (Game Boy), Contra Force (NES, which really wasn’t a Contra game but it has been referenced by Konami in Contra numerous times and the Select Character them in Contra Rebirth is actually a remix from Force. Besides, Force’s music is just too awesome not to include), Contra III, and Contra: Hard Corps. Whew!

Magic Sword/Knights of the Round (SNES)
Pt 1: Magic Sword + Knights of the Round.part1.rar
Pt 2: Magic Sword + Knights of the Round.part2.rar
I actually dig the SNES versions music of Magic Sword more than the arcade version. The SNES music to Knights of the Round may sound light compared to that of Magic Sword but it’s still good.

X-Men Mutant Apocalypse/Marvel Super Heroes War of the Gems
Pt 1: X-Men Mutant Apocalypse + Marvel Super Heroes War of the Gems.part1.rar
Pt 2: X-Men Mutant Apocalypse + Marvel Super Heroes War of the Gems.part2.rar
This music comes to us from Capcom. What more do you need to know?

Spider-Man & X-Men Arcade’s Revenge Collection (SNES/Genesis)
Pt 1: Spider-Man & X-Men Arcade’s Revenge Collection.part1.rar
Pt 2: Spider-Man & X-Men Arcade’s Revenge Collection.part2.rar
Pt 3: Spider-Man & X-Men Arcade’s Revenge Collection.part3.rar
The game sucked but Geoff and Tim Follin gave us some beastly tunes at least. You will never get Spidey’s theme out of your head. It’s been stuck in mine since 1993!

Pocky & Rocky/Wild Guns
Pt 1: Pocky & Rocky + Wild Guns.part1.rar
Pt 2: Pocky & Rocky + Wild Guns.part2.rar
Pt 3: Pocky & Rocky + Wild Guns.part3.rar
Some of the most well written/composed music from the SNES era.

Gradius Special Collection
Pt 1: Gradius Special Selection.part1.rar
Pt 2: Gradius Special Selection.part2.rar
Pt 3: Gradius Special Selection.part3.rar
Pt 4: Gradius Special Selection.part4.rar
Contains music from the home versions of Gradius, Gradius II, Gradius III, Nemesis (GB), Nemesis II (GB), Life Force and Salamander. 4 digital discs of Gradius goodness.

Parodius Special Collection
Pt 1: Parodius Special Collection.part1.rar
Pt 2: Parodius Special Collection.part2.rar
Pt 3: Parodius Special Collection.part3.rar
Pt 4: Parodius Special Collection.part4.rar
Pt 5: Parodius Special Collection.part5.rar
Pt 6: Parodius Special Collection.part6.rar
Music from the numerous home versions of Parodius Da!, Jikkyou Oshaberi Parodius (Super Famicom) and Gokujou Parodius. If you’ve never played Parodius, it’s like Gradius on acid. The music consists of whacky remixes of classical songs as well as Gradius tunes.

Final Fantasy V: The Fabled Warriors 1. Wind OC ReMix Album

Sorry I’m about 2 days late on this apparently but I wanted to make sure you guys are aware of it. OC just put this up!

Final Fantasy V: The Fabled Warriors - Home - OC ReMix

This album is going to be done in 5 different parts. The one that just got posted is only the first one. There’s only 9 tracks but I’m sure they are probably awesome enough regardless. I won’t be able to listen to it tonight but I see that Sixto has a track on this =D. Now i just have to wait for that Sonic 1 album to get released…taps foot and checks watch

and the ZREO verison:

I am really impressed at the number of little themes there are in the GB Zelda titles. I’m confident that if even just one of them were remade into 16-bit they would be overall superior to ALttP.

Thanks! I think i still have the CD in storage somewhere… Can’t seem to find it around the house. Hopefully someone will stumble across Saturn Bomberman…It had the most epic soundtrack ever.

Lufia 2: Rise of the Sinistrals ‘The Very End’ by Nekofrog
ReMix: Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals ‘The Very End’ - OverClocked ReMix

Sources are dQ063-r3r20"]‘Battle 3’, ‘The Final Battle’, and . Never heard the source tracks before but I really like the first 2 and I like what Nekofrog did with this. It’s not as heavy as his other stuff since this was him trying to branch out in which I think he suceeds in doing so quite well IMO. Of course love that guitar .

Silent Line: Armored Core ‘Morning, Thinker’ by AnotherSoundscape, DragonAvenger
ReMix: Silent Line: Armored Core ‘Morning, Thinker’ - OverClocked ReMix

Sources are ‘FYHv1h7-12E"]Thinker’ and ‘Morning, Lemontea’. This is also part of the preview that you can download for free. I found ‘Morning, Lemontea’ to be interesting on it’s own since sometimes during the track it sounded like some of the string instruments weren’t going with the music well and it started to sound slightly awkward…mostly at 1:19-1:38. Strangely though I don’t hear that in this ReMix and I dig it. If you like the Armored Core series I’d reccommend giving this track a listen unless you don’t like repeating lyrics…but I find it kinda catchy ‘I’m a thinker! I could break it down! I’m a shooter, a drastic baby!’

Wow! Never actually took the time to go on the general forum on SRK but this is one awesome topic! Great music links guys

Heh, that reminds me, King, I’ve been meaning to get around to a Game Over entry on my blog, discussing various Game Over themes.

Here’s some stuff I’ve been working on.

Battle Mania & Battle Mania Daiginjou (Genesis)
Pt 1: Battle Mania & Battle Mania Daiginjou.part1.rar
Pt 2: Battle Mania & Battle Mania Daiginjou.part2.rar

There’s an official DKC Trilogy album but I’ve never been able to find and it from what info I’ve seen about it on vgmbd, some of the best tracks don’t loop and some tracks are even missing, so I figured I’d just do my own. I also found out that Eveline Novakovic did the bulk of the music in DKC3, a game I own but have yet to play. Rockface Rumble is probably my fav track from the game.
