Gran Turismo
This series has always had an excellent blend of rock, jazz and vocal tracks. I enjoy listening to licensed music in this series but I much prefer the original compositions and various versions of the GT theme, “Moon Over the Castle.” There are no such things as bad GT soundtracks. Just those that are more awesome than others.
Just to be clear, these scores focuses solely on the original GT tunes for obvious reasons.

Source is [media=youtube]n2RP8LmePrk"[/media]. Of course the actual source of the source is from SFII but the guy says he’s was influenced from this version…either way it’s still good :tup:. Stays pretty true to the source and I’d almost swear it sounds slight Daft Punk ish in a certain area.
Not exactly video game OST stuff, but this is a mix of instrumental hip-hop beats that either sample video games or are heavily influenced by them. I think you guys will like this a lot.

Sixto also has an incredibly large amount of projects on his plate at the moment, as well as a shrinking desire to make music as time goes on. He’s considered just quitting for a while now.
As for myself, my schedule isn’t going to allow for my participation at this point in time. If the project is still going on in July, I’ll be able to throw something at it, but as it stands, basic and tech school are going to eat over 4 months of my life starting in March.
Sucks, 'cause I’d love to do something for this.

I’m liking the Tatsunoko vs. Capcom soundtrack, even though I don’t have the game. I hear Capcom had to replace all the music from the JPN version, but from what I’ve heard of the soundtrack so far, it’s not a huge loss.

Sucks that you and Sixto had to back out though :sad: …I would have loved hearing either one of you guys interpretations of the tracks but it’s definitely understandable that you guys have other things on your plate. I definitely reemmber posting Wily’s Requiem and Fight For Our Future! at some point since I do have it on my Zune on my Hard Hitting playlist.
I’m also a bit saddened that Sixto’s desire to make music is waning but eh…life takes you places even if it isn’t somewhere you thought you’d be or want to be for that matter. Not sure about Housethegrate, but Snappleman was banned from OCR for taking his general dickishness way too far (he really is a dick), but was just recently unbanned so you might see more of them. He’s more of a Dwelling of Duels/Shizz guy these days though.

I remember reading in the forums at one point about Snappleman being a dick but I didn’t (and still don’t) know the full story on that. It feels like Tiger Woods all over again when I say this but even if the guy is a dick I still enjoyed this music…especially his work on Project Chaos. Housethegrate seems to be still around at least on youtube. I guess he’s just not doing OC tracks right now and probably working on something else.

I had to listen to the original source and I think this mix is pretty good one. It’s not as Energetic as some of OA’s previous works but it’s stil a nice tune that I could chill out too.
