Definitely agreed. I was a bit disappointed the movie was kind of corny even though I liked it and the game just wasn’t polished enough. But yeah he’s a cool character and I liked the idea of him being something of a secret agent for the church. I’d definitely like to see that revisited.

Amiibos aren’t really built to be played with and their more like collectible figurines that have an added benefit of unlocking some stuff be it something early, a function, or a small piece of dlc in a game.

Are Amiibos made of plastic where like they could crack? Or are they more like that hard/rubbery feel of actual figures?

@purbeast hawkingbird and others basically nailed it. They’re collector figures that every now and again (though less and less lately) give you perks or unlock certain things For certain games when you can them on a 3DS/Wii U/Switch.
Outside of Breath of the Wild, where you get gear that are exclusive to those line of amiibo the bonuses and perks are pretty irrelevant, tbh.
The figure you posted is made by Jakks Pacific. Which does the Nintendo World line of figures. Amiibo are made by Nintendo.
Oh, also to answer you’re original question. Amiibo are pretty sturdy outside of a few of them. When my nephew was here in May I let him play with them. He’s 2. If your son is 5 he should be fine.
There are unfortunately quite a few amiibo that can go for well over $100 now. $25 is getting off light tbh.
I remember when breath of the Wild first came out all the LoZ related amiibo prices skyrocketed. The cheapest one of find from a marketplace like eBay, fb market, etc was Ganondorf at $75. Link and Sheik both went for close to $200 a pop.
Hell, I remember when the first amiibo first came out the three “unicorns”, Marth, Wii Fit Trainer and Villager were going for about $125-175 each.
Thankfully I never had to pay those kind of prices. Ive always diligent about preorders. The most I’ve had to pay is about $120 for a set of four amiibo. They were the Skylander amiibo Activision made but only came in the super expensive bundles spread out among four systems.
Which you can immediatel tell They were made by Activision due to the quality in everything about them are total shit tier

I have an amiibo. I was looking into getting a second one. I have no real use for it, but it’s fun to have. I also just like to collect things like that. Can you still store ghost data on them for Smash Bros. Ultimate like you could with the previous game?

haha, unlike Funkos… Amiibos actually look cool and accurate to the character design. It was shocking to me that Funkos caught on in such a big way…that shit is turribly ugly 99% of the time, and never catches the likeness of the character.

GEARS 5 – I was spending more quality time with this the past few days; recently unlocked Baird so I’ve been leveling him up. Right away this is my preferred choice of “engineer” character— his ultimate summons a DR-1 bot which is just cooler than Del’s roller-bots, imo.
I didn’t think I would get this far so fast in the Tour of Duty thing—I’m already at “Officer” 2 or 3 rank since the weekend. The great thing is that you keep unlocking things as you go, and the rewards have improved since the game came out. Some of the ranks grant gold coins you can use to get more character/skins.
hahaha it was funny to hear my friend keep asking me about some details with that… knowing full well he’s too damn lazy to bother actually playing the game. This guy basically wastes his money because he’s always getting games but never playing them, or only playing for a short time then never again in life.

Huh, so they are doing the old double dip for the PC and PS4 audience. Shady but the music and the new side content is very good on S.

I agree they are fugly.
At least Amiibos look like they should (and not ugly deformations of the character) and have some practical purpose.

It will be on the X1X. Microsoft did say no system exclusive for the first few years so perhaps the footage is taken from the Xbone version.

Yeah but I’m wondering if it will even be out on XSX. Like if this is what it looks like on XSX that is pretty damn weak. It looks like they are demo’ing it on an X1X.
