So… If 4K 60 FPS is considered “performance mode” what exactly is being sacrificed from whatever the other mode is?
And why isn’t 4K 60 FPS a standard for a next gen console, especially with a first party game?

Yeah… But have you seen DOOM Eternal run on a PS4 Pro? It gets pretty damn close to 4K/60 FPS. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect the next gen of consoles to be capable of hitting those.
And doesn’t it have more to do with the software designers at that point anyway? I thought the PS5 was powerful enough to handle 4k 60 FPS… I mean, it’s being advertised on that tweet. I’m just wondering what is being sacrificed for “performance mode.”
