I can’t remember if it was Counter or Counter-Attack Materia, but anytime you got hit you’d Counter with a hit for 9999 everytime. 4X-Cut and shit…game is so silly.

As I’ve said for 23 years, OG Final Fantasy 7 is the most overrated game of all time. And its aged about as well as Tara Reid.
the melia strat is pretty simple. you lure a particular ape i believe its the gluttony one towards the cliff edge and then use hypnosis to put it to sleep then use spear break to push it off then you get the exp and the end game tier equipment they drop however sometimes you might accidently autoattack them or they don’t go off the cliff and they kill you so slightly time consuming.
My dumb ass got to level 94 the old fashioned way

I think it’s aged pretty well, actually. It still has a ton of charm. Squeenix obviously thinks so too, or else they wouldn’t have re-released the original game on every single modern platform.
If you spend more time talking to me about the story as a story rather than the story as an avenue for gameplay, it goes in the trash.
i’ve actually been looking for a good way to level ap outside of expert mode myself so far it looks like going someplace where you can kill large amounts of enemies with aoe chain attacks is a strat since you get more ap for chain attack kills or letting an enemy put your party to sleep so you can keep waking them up is another one i’ve heard about.
Good take. If i wanna hear a story, I’ll watch a movie so I can eat snacks without getting my controller gross
My contention is going to be this:
What video games bring to story telling is interactivity. If I’m not spending time interacting, the game is wasting my time.
I’m not against cut scenes to tell parts of the story. But at some point somebody should start logging the time spent in cut scenes/time it takes to complete the game without fucking around to see what type of balance is being achieved.
If the first 30 minutes of a game involve a 10-15 minute cut scene, throw the game in the trash.
The Avengers game keeps looking better each time I see it. I’m a fanboy and Kamala is love so I will day one anyway. I’m happy to see MODOK get his respect.
I’d have to think long and hard on that one. FFVII was a game from what was at the time my favorite JRPG franchise. Part of why I find to be so overrated is that I had played multiple games in the genre that were better. So I found the best JRPG of all time talk laughable. I didn’t think it was Top 3 in its own series at the time let one best in the genre.
Dunkey does reviews, but they are more for comedic effect than actual reviews.
They are just slightly better than JonTron at his worst, and makes me laugh so hard that my sides hurt at his best. But I take his Reviews as the You Tube version of a Shit Post.

Even the grunt thing, like, yeah I can get being annoyed by that but if you’ve played the fucking game you’d also know how the vast majority has amazing VA work.
