Based on Rukawa’s recent posts he seems to have the GasaWhiny stance of only playing games developed in Japan, and if it isn’t made in Japan it’s automatically shite with shite gameplay. This cha-riggers me as it’s so narrow-minded mang.
I’m not interested in The Last of the Mohicans 2 but I don’t completely avoid playing a game because it was made in the West or Europe.
I’ll have to fire up Hades again. I got bored with it after about 40 hours. There have been a couple/few updates since last I played so maybe some new shit will be there. Still a really awesome game doe.
I need to play Risk of Rain 2 also. I’m sure there have been several updates for that one too.
I tried out Gears of War 4 the other day. That shit hasnt changed since the first one. Everything is the same accept the graphics and characters. Its fun doe. Blasting ugly bad dudes into chunks is entertaining.

I maintain that the Gears series has some of the best TPS gameplay around honestly, from enemy to weapon variety it’s just big dumb fun. 3 is perhaps the best for this.
I’m always curious what others think of how the Horde mode has evolved over the years… part 3’s Horde is still the king, imo. I still enjoy the mode in part 4 and 5 though, despite some annoying, questionable design choices in those. The thing that really rubs people the wrong way in part 5 is the restriction on characters—no dupes…like if someone is already in there as Cole, you cannot also be Cole. (funny thing is that sometimes the game seemingly “forgets” to implement the no dupes rule; there’s been times when I and someone else were playing the same character) Part 4 was more open, where you can be any combination of classes and characters. 4 also had more freedom with placement of fortifications; you could drag and drop them pretty much anywhere, whereas they were only in certain spots in part 3.
The greatest version of Horde for me would be a combo of part 3 and 4.
ha, random memory—the only enjoyment I got out of some old sports games was hurting the players on the opposing team. I was a virtually sadistic little bastard like that…playing Joe Montana Football on Genesis…I’d smile with satisfaction when I saw the ambulance show up on the field because one of my guys hurt someone on the other team
I didnt care for the horde mode in whatever gears it was introduced. I also havent played a gears since that. I really only remember the first one. The online was so fun in that shit. Then they introduced that party chat shit and the fun was gone. It was a silent game and it felt like I was playing alone. I stopped playing gears then.
Was playing SpinRhythm and did pretty good on hard.
After that I looked at my PS3 games and noticed I had Amplitude on there. That shit is great. I loved the PS2 version and the game that came before it. I cant remember the name of it. I just know I first played it as a demo that came with the ps2 network adapter.
not at all i’d like to play HZD one day. yeah i was a little too mad yesterday
I realized i don’ t really like games that are too centered on reality. A game for me must have a little fantasy, sci fi elements or themes. Resident evil does this for example by incorporating a mansion on almost every game, that’s a horror theme, i like that in games. TLOU doesn’t seem that has any of this or it doesn’t have enough to catch my interest. The stealth elements are uninteresting I don’t see much on the Gameplay either. The skill up review i saw it was mostly Ellie killing people, there was a point that i forgot there were even zombies in the game until the reviewer pointed that out. You don’t fight as many zombies as in the first one and the zombies are either recycle or too generic. So the game ends up being another revenge story and a bad one at that too.
I played DOOM Eternal on a gaming laptop that is 5 years old on max settings with ZERO slowdown. Considering I have even had slowdown on a couple of the retro style games that’s pretty impressive.
Wow. That was legit chilling. I’ve never had any interest in far cry but that story trailer brought the fucking heat. Even if I don’t get it I will definitely watch the movie cut of it.
