Well since the world and everyone in it has commited to bruning the entire planet to the ground I’ve recommitted to being a hermit. Seems the safest bet.

Also RE: game prices. Sure development costs have gone up a shitload and games have stayed the same price pretty much for a while now, but the volume of games being sold now is SSSSSOOOOOO much higher than it was when games were $50 brand new.
I remember when first party MS games were supposed to be $50 and other titles were $60. Like Kameo, PGR3, PDZ were all $50 at launch, but that bullshit didn’t last long at all.
He paid teens in tokens to jump im the pool at SHGL. Then he bet crackpr0n 20 dollars that on some shit involving showing Wiz his weiner.
At least, thats the current stoey and Wiz apologized for it so what the fuck.

All its going to do is force people to wait out a few months to a year for game prices to drop.
You can but the devil is not in the game but the console’s locked down hardware.
Shantae - simple fun 2D platforming and subtle exploration that doesn’t feel like a chore. Nothing amazing that hasn’t been done in some form but what I love is the aesthetics of the game. I love the designs and the charm comes from the characters/enemies. I do wish they used her friends in the main game but that’s a minor nitpick considering the transformations are what the gameplay is about. some transformations are cool and fun, some are meh and useless. Will tackle the extra content another time but cute fun and knows what it’s about. I originally DLed the game but like the looks so much I found the special edition and bought it to collect.
DKTF - I really don’t like the control layout in comparison to the OG SNES DKC games. Rolling feels so sudden so it’s not as precise as I like it to be. I got used to it but it’s been my issue with the series so far. if that was addressed, I would say these games from a gameplay standpoint are better and build upon the older Rare games. Funky was useless but I see he’s best for more newer players. I almost never used coins. beat the game with 90+ lives so dying was less of a problem and more of an annoying setback. Stage layout was solid to me and the stages with the silhouette design make for some cool ideas.
Sonic Mania - I never grew up with Sonic like I did with Mario but I do have a massive appreciation for the 16bit look. Game is amazing. Music, design, it’s all there. You can tell this game was made with love. I would greatly look forward to a Sonic Mania 2. Game was so great and is pure classic sonic goodness (speed, momentum, very colorful graphics), I’m glad I bought the physical copy special edition. Game is a challenge too as I need to go back and grab the last few Chaos Emeralds. You could have told me that this is Sonic 4 right after Sonic and Knuckles and I’d believe you. Well worth it.
All three games are fun in their own way and utilize their 2D gameplay in cool ways.
