I play 3S almost every day and I SAID WHAT I SAID.
The game where jumping at people is a mix up and fireballs don’t work is a perfect SF?

May I introduce you to cancel culture?
Fuck I want a new Rock N Roll racing so bad. I know there was a sequek in the PS2 era but apparently it’s not remembered as fondly as the original RNRR is
Also despite the rather small soundtrack (there was, what, 5-6 songs total?) it never felt annoying. Just wish the Genesis version sounded better, I feel like Blizzard heavily underutilized the capabilities of the system’s soundchip, especially when we have examples like Thunder Force IV where you can tell the Yamaha part inside the console was made for metal and rock, and yet…
I felt like this one was coming…
I was too young to appreciate it (I was like 9 when it came out)
But it more or less invented the modern cover base shooter system. I remember it being pretty clunky, but also, I was 9 lol
Holy shit, Reggie. You posted as soon as you possibly could!
Let’s keep the ball rolling:
VGM FRIDAY Theme this week is music from games y’all said were underrated:
the “brass” bass line in this track is killing me
And this bass line just has all the slap
Bonus:
Might be a stretch… but Joe Walsh recorded this for the Warriors (film) and was in the game… Joe walsh is awesome, so I’m putting it in here.
Ayyyyy The Consouls! Think they were at Magfest once but ai missed their set when they came but they do good work! I’m probably gonna have to check and see if they have any albums out to buy once I get some things fixed.
I’ll take the bad opinion L away from Stu since we’re talking about underrated games now.
Final Fantasy XIII is a misunderstood masterpiece. Combat is top shelf. Story is nowhere near as nonsensical as people make it out to be (pay attention to the CONTEXT behind the silly proper nouns). Some of the best character work in any Final Fantasy. Hope, Lightning, and Vanille are all great characters that people write off because they’re not immediately heart-catching. Also Lightning is hot.
Forgot to answer this.
Kimahri is really good in the early game. You can gear him up to essentially duplicate another character, and although he starts off statted like a sort of blend of Tidus and Auron, he can quickly be a thief before you have access to Rikku, or a bruiser before you have access to Auron. In FFX HD Remaster, he’s even better because of the openness of the Expert Sphere Grid. Furthermore, he has some really strong Overdrives for progress through the story. Stone Breath is busted clean in half for how quickly you can get it and how many otherwise irritating enemies are trivialized by it. It’s true that he is outclassed later in the game, but the same can be said for Lulu and Auron. The farther in the game you get, the more Tidus, Wakka, Rikku, and Yuna pull ahead of the pack.
It’s beat the former best selling PS4 exclusive at launch, Spider-Man by over a million units.
Is it true that SOR4 is like the Street Fighter IV of the series?
But Streets of Rage 4 is actually good though.
I’m not really sure what this is supposed to mean.
SoR4 is crazy good. Ridiculously good. I’d probably play it more if I had it on PC for the convenience of not needing to turn on my PS4. You get the rough enemies up in satisfying ways. Those always make for great beat’em up experiences.
Naw it was clunky but for a third person game at the time that was normal. Still the pop up and laser sight made for some nice shooting for that era.
