yeah, delays are something I’ve come to expect in this industry. At this point I’m always thinking whatever any company announces will be pushed back at least once or twice. I’ll be looking forward to Bloodlines 2 around Christmas of 2021 then, I guess… or late 2022…or 2023, etc.
…and that’s assuming human civilization even survives that long of course.
Well, in the meantime my vampiric fantasies will continue being fulfilled by other games then—the great thing is there’s finally a choice in the matter lately…with the the best option at the moment being Vampyr, imo. (playing as Necromancer in Diablo is one of those “kinda” characters that also scratches that itch!)
One could bring up Code Vein but something there always bugged me—it’s just not quite what one expects for a world involving vampires… for one there’s none or hardly any regular humans to provide contrast there…so far there is only 1 human character I’ve met…then it’s also a ruined world anyway…and another thing is that they just don’t seem powerful enough, imo. They’re definitely not super-fast as you tend to see in other stories/media. It’s still a half-way decent game though but it just kinda misses the mark with the “vampires” thing for me.
Aside from that there’s the co-op, which is some of the worst-designed, most anti-fun horseshit I’ve seen since Fable goddamn 2…one of those things you look at and wonder—ok who designed this, and why is this asshole allowed to work in the games industry?
Speaking of Vampyr, this game just keeps me hooked. I just beat the boss in the theatre last night and have been doing some side quests while slowly finishing up the main quest. But I haven’t embraced anyone in awhile, so I’m at about level 26. I heard the final boss (no spoilers!) is around level 50 so I’m not sure if I should be grinding more or what.
Also got the Cutlass and it seems better in terms of damage even though I haven’t levelled it up to Lvl.5 yet ,but it’s hard to tell if it’s better than the St John sword or not. St John is faster and I’ve got it doing about 270 damage, but is there something special about the Cutlass?
ohhh yeah that one you fight at the theater was one of the times the challenge ramped up noticeably, imo… it took me a few tries to get past her, I remember.
I don’t remember which weapons I used that much, actually…a handgun and some probably random sword, but I considered those to be my “backup damage”. The real damage was coming from my powers…like the claw/swipe move—leveled up that really tears into the enemies big time…I also had invisibility; and you get bonus damage when attacking from invisibility as well…so that + the claw swipe was insane.
I’m curious what you thought of that mid-game reveal though—when a certain person that was important in Dr. Reid’s life suddenly showed up and you had to fight them… it still stands out as a high point in the story for me… I was loving every minute of that, since I wasn’t expecting to see her.
I just wish there was even more to the game… like especially even more sidequests. The involvement of the “Ascalon Club” would be an excellent source for sidequest material right there. Another thing I’d like in a sequel would be some competing factions—like say you join up with them BUT you have the option of being in another crew that suddenly puts you at odds with Ascalon… then that naturally gives story potential for in-fighting and moments of betrayal, manipulation, ranks, etc. (I always enjoy a general hierarchy as well—e.g…-- “young neonate—you dare challenge the orders of the Prince?!” etc.)
It is so hard for me to progress in Ghost of Tsushima. I just had 90 minutes to play and I was going to progress the story but got side tracked and overran some mongol camp. Oh yeah and before that when I started the mission I had to go check out upgrades and stuff.
Then as I’m in the mission it takes me past another mongol camp that I had to overrun. Then I saw the golden bird and had to follow it to a shrine.
Okay now back on track.
What’s this? Another golden bird? Okay let me just go hit up this bamboo cut.
Okay now I can FINALLY do the actual mission.
Next thing I know it’s been 90 minutes and I don’t have anymore time. At least I’m near the end I think though.
You described most of my sessions. There was a Saturday that I played a good five hours and didn’t touch one story mission. I’m already hoping for a sequel based around the second Mongol invasion that took place 7 years later.
Also, speaking of the SEX we have a release month for it. The article doesn’t mention specifically when in November but have been told “likely” within the first week of November.
Will the delayed release of the new Halo be counted as a CoVid “death” by the the lefty liberals who want to destroy this great country of ours with their little overblown CHINA flu?
