It’s cool that Matt’s game is good. I still gotta try it. The no multiplayer thing always really hurts with good Beat Em Ups. It’s my biggest complaint about SOR4: no 4 player online CO OP.

People spent a lot of time criticizing the UC series for having low stakes. CD responded by giving extremely high stakes by showing what happens when you fuck up.
It’s a bit of an over correction I guess but I see what they where going for. The didn’t lose me on the violence they lost me on the writing for the sequels personally. In TR1 I felt really involved in what was going on. In the sequels it all feels disconnected and forced and like Laura is there just cuz. Was disappointing.

Sounds like they’re basically gonna just include the first game with the new one. I doubt they’ll actually go in and mesh the two together so the story beats and all that play out organically in one huge game.
First game will probably just have higher framerates, better resolutions and better load times. As Axe said there’s not much more you can really improve on visually, imo at least.
