Netcode and SNK/Capcom getting back on friendly terms are two things I hope to see

CVS2 on modern consoles with good metcode.

No rebalancing or fundamental gameplay changes.

Maybe a mild touch up graphics wise

Same. I played Tessa cause unblockable throw loops and full screen zoning is fun.

Iirc you said you played Zero or Violent Ken cause you hate having friends.

I donā€™t think Capcom is on ā€œbad termsā€ with anyone really. Shit the biggest upside to Ono is that heā€™s friends with pretty much most FG developers.

Last I heard, Capcom fucked SNK out of money or something, but it was a long time ago so theyā€™re probably past it

Whatever the state of cap and snk relationship, Iā€™d rather have another project from them I stead of marvel.

Functions are something for my graphing calculator.

Naw, my friend you forget even more obscure Wonderful 101 reached itā€™s goal this year? It will get the money whether it reaches every stretch goal is the only question.

Another long shot, Iā€™d like to see Arc and Capcom collaborate on a Darkstalkers title together. Never gonna happen tho

I mean, I know? Did you not see my edit? Or my follow up post?

Also, W101 had the Wii U curse. It was a game tons of people wanted to try but not enough to drop $300 on a console. It also didnā€™t have the same superb word of mouth or clout Bayonetta did. So it was unproven despite being from P*. Which is why for so many people Bayo 2 was worth investing in a Wii U to play it.

When I worked at GameStop our Nintendo sales went up over 300% in less than 2 weeks after Bayo 2 was announced as an exclusive to the Wii U.

ā€¦sheeeittt, would be nice to ask BandaiNamco why is SC6ā€™s custom character mode such a huge piece of fly-ridden turd-pile of constant load times when you do anything. Whoever made it that way should get punched in the face and banned from working on games again. Someone should also take a piss on his couch.

ha, thereā€™s the especially toxic commentary for the day. Thatā€™s always fun.

GEARS 5ā€” finally noticed how to do the emotes in this game nowā€¦ it makes it all the more amusing but probably annoying to other people when you do things like make the character laugh over and over againā€¦or make Cole say ā€œYO!ā€ every time a wave ends in Horde.

editā€”that damn Paduk Fear-challenge (kill enemies while his ā€œFearā€ ultimate is active) being glitched is terribly annoyingā€¦itā€™s the only thing holding me up from the reward for the Horde category challenges.

I think Kickstarter had done a decent job proving this false.

In fact Nostalgia culture proves this incredibly false as Member Berries is one of the best ways to keep the lights on. Pander to that nostalgia hard as fuck and people will love you for reminding them of their oh so precious childhoods.

For every one project that relies on that has succeeded on Kickstarter countless who have done the same have failed. Same with movies, tv shows, books, Games, comics, etc. so no. Not really.

And often times even when they do ā€œsucceedā€ thereā€™s the potential of it being disappointing. I still regret kicking MN9 and Yooka-Laylee among several other projects I have backed or purchased at retail that tickled my nostalgia. Or mediums of something I enjoy I have went out of way to experience

Btw, Iā€™m not trying to discredit or say nostalgia doesnā€™t sell. It clearly does. I mean not even 4 days ago I mentioned how good pointing out all the Easter eggs in detective Pikachu made me feel and how it made me feel like a little kid. So it clearly sells.

Itā€™s Just not as often as one would think. And when it does itā€™s rarely the way you actually envisioned.

Most of the nostalgia based Kickstarter made their goals. That means it turned or kept the lights on which was your counter claim.

As far as the throw back and nostalgia games go more where hits then misses. MN9 didnā€™t fail because of member berries, it failed because it was mismanaged by a guy who spent decades selling himself as someone he wasnt. He literally lied. Yooka Laylee was exactly what it advertised itself as, as a throw back to a mediocre platformer series by the guys who made said mediocre games (YEA I SAID IT, BANJOS OVER RATED AS FUCK! lmao) On the other hand because it weā€™ve gotten the Bloodstained series, Shovel Knight, Skullgirls, a bunch of other throw back shit. Hell half the 2D renissaunce is due to Kickstarter projects and shit. You being disappointed with the final product isnā€™t the same as it not being successful. Yooka Laylee was quite successful and itā€™s DLC sold quite well. Your statement was about making money and Nostalgia makes a lot of money. You not liking it is a personal point, not a global one.

Itā€™s more often then you are giving it credit for.

Almost nothing in life is ever the way you envision it. Gamers (speaking generally) would do well to stop being married to their vision of what they think something will be.
