You nail it, man. I think Mass Effect 2 is wildly overrated, especially in the context of that franchise. But I still played it and enjoyed it!
But 1 and 3 are better imho and I feel like people always put 2 as the best in the trilogy
I am one of those who like 2 the best. It has the best gameplay and writing balance. 1 has the best writing but the worst gameplay and 3 has the best gameplay and pretty meh writing making 2 the best of both worlds.

Heavy pistol ammo was too scarce and I didn’t like grunt nearly as much as Wrex.

Heavy Ammo is kind of rare agreed, but actually really useful when you have it, and Grunt is a fucking bad ass lol.
So is Wrex, but Grunts tip top to.

For me I think the Gamecube is just overrated, especially the controller. I don’t think it’s bad, but if I see a controller tier list and the Gamecube is in God/S/A tier then it’s immediately invalid for me.

Grunt’s great! Wrex is better. But I Mained pistol the first game, and the heavy pistol was the most similar. Felt like someone took away my favorite toy

The whole of the Mortal Kombat series. There’s like…3 good ones out of all those many entries. You could erase all of NRS games from the planet and not miss anything gameplay wise. It’d be a world where you could talk to your friends with the idea of “Hey man, what if fireballs didn’t clash and went right through each other” and they’d all rightly clown you for how shitty taht would play because it does.

Might be old news, but turns out Warden from For Honor is the new character in SamSho. I’m reserving judgement on it for now but by and large I dislike guest characters in fighting games. They usually create disharmony in the setting because they’re obviously not from the universe the rest of the game is, but devs never seem to think about it like that. Soul Calibur 4 was probably the best (or worst) example of bad choice of guest characters because they’re so out of sync with the rest of the game it’s borderline ridiculous.
To make matters worse, a lot of times the guest characters end up being the best characters in the game because they aren’t constrained by the same things the rest of the characters are.
I can’t speak to how Haohmaru fits in in Soulcal6 but the idea of him being there seems ok because he fits in with the setting. Not sure how his moves interact with the rest of the cast, but in my head anyway he seems more of a fit than Akuma in Tekken.
Now that I think of it, Siegfried and/or Nightmare might have been good choices for samsho guest characters.
Tetris is one of those games that has a lot more to it than you’d think, but a lot of it is under the surface. It’s like watching a boxing match, it looks like two guys just trying to punch each other but there’s so much else going on that you would totally miss out on if you didn’t know about it.
As fory overrated game, I pick Symphony Of The Night. It’s a game I love, that I’ve sunk probably 1000 hours into, and I think it’s a great game, but people way overrate it, which is funny when you stand it next to games like Castlevania 4, Rondo of Blood, or Aria Of Sorrow (it’s better than Aria imo but AoS is a strong contender for best metroidvania title even though I don’t like the sorrow games as much.)

The Last of the Mohicans 1 is overrated imo.
Great graphics,music, characterization -9/10
But the gameplay is 6/10
Water plank puzzles, very simple crafting/combinations
are repetitive.
The first 2-3 hours involve pressing the analog stick up passively.
Ocarina of time - love the game but quite overrated. Link’s Awakening is the patrician choice of Zelda games.
FF as a whole appears overrated to me. Some off shoot games were far more fun (FFT, FF:CC, etc) but the main numbered ones continue give me this smug feeling of trying to be deep. then again JRPGs in general are guilty of this.
PKMN Silver/Gold - I love the series but these two games are overblown for what they are. Gen 4 was the peak for me.
Smash - yeahhh…I tried to take smash seriously and that was a big mistake. the game should be about silly fun fights. yes you can strip it down to pure skill…but then why not just play a regular fighting game.
Alpha 3 - Yeah I said it…fight me. I like the roster but that’s it. Custom Combos were a mistake in this game. Actually I’m not a fan of custom combos in general. Maybe getting older got me jaded towards how I feel regarding this game.

I honestly don’t think I have ever even played double dash because of my dislike for Mario Kart 64 and then saw they added the motion controls to make it even more dumbed down.
Oh yeah I’m pretty sure I crossed the 20 hour mark tonight in TLOU. I was at 17:55 before I started and pretty sure it was over 2 hours I just played.
I cannot believe how fucking incredible this game is. I cannot believe how brutal it is too. I am legit cringing at parts in the game and ooh’ing and aw’ing at some of the shit going on. Pretty crazy that ND just said fuck it and told the story they wanted to tell regardless of how brutal it is.

So I decided to play Tetris The absolute Grand master 2 Plus
So I needed mame, decided to download the newest version of MAME UI.
Oh God did MAME turned for the worst, over bloated peice of crap where I can’t find my only two roms in the damn UI. Also since when did Mame support the ZX spectrum?
I had to switch to a older copy of Shump Mame (shumpmame 4) to get to play the game.

Was thinking of it on Wii then. Pretty sure I never played DD though because of how much MK 64 sucked. I never touched a Mario Kart game on Wii for sure too. Only on DS.
