Well even if that is true, if they HADN’T done that, Sonic Lost World wouldn’t exist.
Either way, Super Mario Galaxy gets some credit for this.
Sonic Lost World does look a bit like X-treme…however it’s for me it’s pretty clear that there’s far more influences from Mario Galaxy than anything. I’m fully aware of Sonic extreme’s existence and the very first thing that came to mind was Galaxy about 1/4 of the way through the trailer.
