Pretty much to be expected since Sony already said they’re going to try to stay away from the $600 price point and Microsoft will have no choice but to try to competitively price.

That article is a joke. The entire point of it was to butter up Microsoft and say that this is going to be like Steam when there is zero evidence of this and they refuse to say how much you would get for your used game.

The whole crying about games developers having to put up with a free market just like every other person with something to sell and how this will apparently kill the industry was getting old and dumb several years ago when they started rolling out online codes and it’s still just as dumb now.
Man, I have been preaching that in these kinds of discussions since forever ago. All these types of measures do - DRM in particular - is punish the paying customers. Pirates do not give one flying shit, and will hack it all within a week of release and make the loyal, paying customers feel like dolts.
I’m not saying you don’t find ways to try to stop them to some extent - any company would and should - but do so in a means that doesn’t fucking punish your loyal customers and make us feel like idiots for buying your product.
