I liked a lot of the features and stuff they showed for the system and it’s nice that the Kinect so far looks to be where it should be. I still have questions and concerns on some things so I’m gonna wait until E3 is done before I judge but so far this conference didn’t budge me on purchasing a PS4. Games ultimately are what make or break a system so if Microsoft seriously has been throwing money at 3rd party developers then we may end up with some surprise announcements at E3…along with a ton of salt.
As much as it sucks…Microsoft was going for the core mainstream audiences and playing to their strength which is the multimedia functionality. Hard to say who will sell more between this and the ps4…but the gimmick of this console could catch some attention with casuals.
I’m hearing that all games require installation, all game disks have a unique ID that ties it to the system/xbox live account, and you may have to pay a fee to install the game on a second system.
We’ll find out everything eventually but there you go.
Gonna have to wait till E3 to make my decision, you guys gonna buy a PS4 why? So far it’s just a PS3 with prettier graphics and a bunch of stuff that could have been done on the PS3 anyway (with exception of the controller).
Instead of saying look at how this hardware will make gaming better and bridge the gap between the PC and the console gamer in a constructive way that doesnt pit them at odds.Microsoft says nah fuck that im gonna detail all the ways to liveblog yourself playing or watching nfl sunday or monday night football. Like all that shit fine and dandy but people live tweet while watching tv all the fucking time now . Tv Shows like Talking Dead exist solely because of that. Xbox is a gaming console not a media center even with all the additional apps now its sole purpose is gaming to downplay that does the fanbase of the 360 an injustice and marginalizes their influence. You telling me in this reveal they couldnt run some demo projects showcasing how this system is a technical powerhouse.
I know you can’t see my face right now…but I’m making the excalibur face again…
If this is true it’s not as bad as just completely banning the second hand game but the fact will still remain that if they have that feature in their system where you have to pay for a ‘license’ to use said game and PS4 doesn’t have this function then I’m wondering if this is something that Gamers will be willing to overlook for the features of the console. Nothing is confirmed 100% still though but that conference just about made it feel like this console will need to be connected for a lot of features…meaning you may have to disconnect your Xbox from the internet to play a second hand game without having to pay a fee if they don’t have any type of codes that come with the disc.
$700? eesh.
also OMG END OF MICROSOFT WTF OH NOES.
also what did i miss? what is the need to know info on the this reveal and specs that everyone seems upset about?
