Video Game General 7.0: Day Juan Ys: MoC June 9th & Wonderful 101 June 30th!

well, I was thinking most games just use your gamertag or psn name at this point as your “username”, and as far as I know Microsoft/Live cracks down on certain names and they end up changed.

Mere words being “offensive” will forever be a silly thing to me… I realize I’m in the extreme minority on that opinion though.

Back to laughing at That Company again though—I forgot to mention; check out that like/dislike ratio…when I checked it was surprisingly even—2k dislikes to 2.1k likes…and yep I went there specifically to contribute my dislike.

Wonder if this is just a one-off thing, or if unionization will start to become more commonplace in the industry?

A Red Dead Redemption Remake …?

Uh… OK. Not complaining, but that seems like a really weird choice. I feel like visually it still holds up today. This is one of the few instances where I’d actually be fine with them putting the game in 60FPS, 1080p and calling it a day.

However, if they can go more along the lines of a Bluepoint project and Remake it similar to something like, oh I dunno, Shadow of the Collossus… That would actually be pretty cool.

Let me wear Arthurs hat in RDR: Remake and I will consider it worth a repurchase.

I’m not kidding.

Well they’re probably updating it due to the story and events of RDR2.
Curious how they’re going to handle Arthur and the rest of the remaining members of Dutch’s gang who weren’t assholes.

Man Arthur’s entire wardrobe was something you’d see out of a Marlboro commercial. Straight Country fire.

And I hate country ass shit.

I was thinking about it on more of an emotional level, but yea his clothing choices in that game are lit.

Oh.

Maybe I should actually finish that game…

I hated RDR but I liked Gun. Would I like Redemption?

It’s Gun but way bigger and way longer and with that Rockstar flair.

Isn’t GUN level based?

Nope. It’s mission based but you have to unlock more of the world so I guess it could feel a little level based but no, no levels.

Huh

Also I’ll probably get back to RDR2 on PC.

Yep, it was like small scale open world. If you played Dragon’s Dogma, the map feels like that.

Yea Dragons Dogma is a good example of Guns open world design.

Maybe I’ll actually try RDR2. I’m not really against the sim-like idea of it from what I’ve seen in reviews, but the aiming in RDR1 felt really sticky to me and it just wasn’t fun. Hated the horse riding too cause they just felt like a horse shaped car

The snap aim can be turned off in the options menu in both RDR games.

It wasn’t that but like, the responsiveness to the stick. Like just moving your aim at all, even with the snap-to off. I actually ended up playing with it on because it felt so bad to me to move that I just decided to leave it up to the game lol

Oh hmm. Been over 5 years since I played RDR1 so I don’t remember the tactile feel if the aiming you know? Does RDR not have a sensitivity slider? I don’t remember lol.
