Itās weird to meā¦I really like Uncharted but just have 0 fucks to give for The Last of Us for some reason. I donāt know why butā¦i just dont care. Maybe I have deep seeded resentment that TLOU 1 pulled people away from UC3 and contributed to Amy leaving, I dunno.

Playing the FFVIIR demo. Looks friggin sexy.
At first I was bummed to hear we got new VAs but after hearing them, I approve. Cloud and Barret are spot on. Cloud telling Barret to āGet helpā made me LOL. Iām sure the net gods already got a gif of that.
I know Jessie had a crush on Cloud in the original but she reaaaally shows it here. Like dang. Someone toss this girl in the ocean because she is thirsty AF.

The LOU HBO series adaptation is replacing the film adaptation that was in the works

I think this is probably for the better. If they do it right it could be an alternative to Walking Dead for people with different social issues to talk about.
They could also make it a nice canon side story to the series. OR chronicle the period before Joel met Ellie.
Oooooā¦thinking about it. Iām really liking the latter idea. Kinda do a retelling of the first moments of the first game if not do a little bit before to set the stage and then follow Joel as he deals with what happened and the new normal. Do that right and then have an adaptation of the game round season 3 with Ellie. Yeah that could really work!

I think it shows up better in the remake, as there better means to tell the story now, plus the writing in the original is off in places. Donāt know if that is a translation error or just bad writing.
Interestingly the PS1 and Win 95/98 versions have completely different translations of the game dialog.
Steam and later PS4, Xbone and Switch versions uses the Windows version as a base.
But both versions Jessie came off about the same way.
Is it weird I felt worst about Jessieās death than I did Aerithās death?
I mean I kinda saw the signs on the way that they going to kill off Aerith as soon as she abandons the party and you follow her into the ancient city.
A lot of it is translation issues when it comes to getting personalities across for that game. Itās a lot harder to do that when youāre limited by text box size and English just tends to use more characters.

Oh yeah as despite there being more characters in japanese writing they get away using fewer characters in writing than in English. So English text ether have to be shorten to fit the same space as the Japanese script, or they have to write compression for the new dialog, as they have to work with in the confines of the same game size. Also before the PS1, like SNES era games you are limited on the space you get to name everything. So you get like Fire1, Fire2, and Fire3 instead of Fire, Fira and Firaga. Honestly I liked the older US naming scheme as I was first looking at FF8 and wondering what the hell is a Blizzara is.
They could do that too! Iām down to see what happened between 1 and 2 on tv.
My brother was happy to see the news about the tlou series, since he is a fan.
Meanwhile, i am more interested on knowing when the new season of the rightgeous gemstones will come to hbo.
I am a sucker for anything with john goodman on it,

When my brother decided to put the 1st episode on HBO go, and i heard some televangelist shit i was like WTF?, i was ready to tell him to turn off that shit when i saw Goodman was on it.
That was enough to sell me the series.
It also helps that the whole cast is fantastic, and the writting is great.
It manages to make a the concept work.
Isnt she busy with The Umbrella Academy?
Also, i am not sure if she will want to, since iirc, she didnt like that Ellie was inspired on her, and her ālikenessā was used without her consent.
But i could be wrong on the later.
I think she agreed to it, but later tried to backtrack on the deal.
Problem for her, the contract was signed and no way to backout without forfeiting her pay.
Like she did the VA and Mo Cap, and they agreed on using her likeness, but she wasnāt happy with the results. Truth is unless you can say the portail is damaging to her career, she has no legal recourse to sue them on. Like in a photo shoot, unless you have it specifically written in a contract that there zero touch up work allowed, they can retouch and photoshop your photo as much as they want as long as it is not damaging to your image.
IIRC she didnāt give permission to Naughty Dog and they modified Ellieās look after she complained. She did give her voice and likeness for Beyond Two Souls.

And she complained about that one because there was a shower scene on it, that hackers later used to rip a model of her naked, lol.
