Fist of the North Star…finished. Pretty cool game overall. I can see why they didn’t have fast travel, and the to-and-fro mission structure. Still not a fan of that design, but I can’t do anything about that.
The battles are a blast and the channeling system was a lot of fun. I didn’t use it much until the end of the game because I enjoyed the finishers, but the reward system for it and how Perfect Channeling plays into timing and situation awareness gave me a nice feel for how Kenshiro’s battles are in the manga.
The strings having different status effects was a nice touch. It perfectly fit the Beat’em-Up RPG genre these games are, and is probably best game that exemplifies the genre mash up because of it.
Hokuto Steel Shredding Clench is the best finisher.
How can it when Limited Run said the preorders for the CE are going to last as long as the standard edition preorders.
LRG unless otherwise stated by them does CE and/or LE’s in waves or a preset number of CE and/or LE’s and when they do they say as such. It’s usually for quality control purposes.
My guess is Wayforward is fronting most of the bill to do this and LRG is just being a bro by helping them with the leg work of getting all this out there.
The 3 new characters and how they all participated in the story equally and the final battle x 4!
I liked Akiyama the most - Decepticon color scheme, charming, and the closes thing to Hwoarang in Yakuza.
Saejima’s character/story and his relationship with Majima. We get to see how Majima lost his eye! His charge moves seem slightly hard to pull off for me in battle.
I loved his bull charge then slam then on the opposite side move though.
Tanimura’s counters and grabs and his story involving the Chinese restaurant owner.
Boat part!
The rooftop and underground areas were a nice change of pace too. Use the Y axis Sega!
This game had the best upgrade/abilities menu of all of them! t was the most easy to read and allocate points to.
Story involving the police and corruption was a nice element I felt that had long been missing from the series. The chase parts were fun too and broke up the monotony.
The music is significantly better than Y3.
Cons:
Tanimura’s boss fight was annoying. It was the Jingu fight in Y1 all over again!
Daigo’s motive felt weak and felt mostly to have Kiryu have a boss at the end.
I never finished any of the Mass Effect games. They’re like fuckin’ boring. Star Wars soap opera. I thought part 2 would be…less yappin’ and more fightin’ but it wasnt. I got all da games cause they came with some 70 game package. I gave the first 2 a legit shot.
I started playing Dead Space again. I was never able to get far in the game cause im scurry. Really, first time I played that shit I did the alone in the dark play. Too scurry. So I decided to play alone during the day. Still mad scurry. Then I waited for everyone to be home while I played. scurry. I just stopped trying after that. Now its still pretty scurry but its fun as fuck. I keep jumping and shit when mosters try to eat me.
I was missing quite a bit of abilities and barely any health items going into that fight, and hooo boy. I tried for almost an hour between taking down the goons, and trying to take the boss down first. Man it was brutal. It was like fighting a school of fish, with range capabilities assist. I ended up going to YT after the first try and watched up to the boss being beaten.
Came back with more abilities and almost all heat items. Ended up taking the boss out first then the goons. Jingu was more manageable due to less guards and Kiwami’s system.
I’m going to do a replay of it soon . I’ll probably grab the bullet proof vest this time. There’s probably three legit bad fights in the series Tanimura’s last boss being the top, Man in Black in Kiwami 2, and Saejima’s first boss fight with the Prison guard in 4.
walk slower. That game’s AI has no patience at all and if you play it like a survival horror game and take your time to search areas, they usually end up jumping out way too early and just sorta end up standing at the end of the hall until you’re ready to ruin their day
^ Uh…this kind of has stort spoilers so if this is your first time playing this game you might want to avoid watching it. That being said its a pretty good intro vid to the game. If you watch after :59 you should be ok.
