Really is a shame about Doom Eternal’s official OST…I’m almost tempted to give it a listen to hear how bad they messed it up.

What are you talking about? They’re literally just voice banks. You program lyrics. All the music that’s made is made by actual creators, there aren’t any record labels involved unless the original creator allows it. It’s just music people wanted to make.

Holy fuck. I hyperventilated when I read that shit. I’m sure there’s probably some drama behind the scenes and this OST audio mixing is more the last straw, but man. If Mick really is gone past this, I do NOT envy the poor fucker who has to fill those shoes for DOOM 2024.

In theory Bethesda could pull an Iron Galaxy and hire Celldweller and Atlas Plug for the next Doom game, similarly to what happened with Killer Instinct season 3 soundtrack since Mick had to work on another project (that being Doom 2016) and couldn’t compose for the game anymore
hahahaah, man this shit is hilarious…someone a long time ago must’ve put some kind of weird voodoo curse on that company. They CAN’T do anything right…and whenever there’s news…it’s bad news…and the fuck-ups are rarely small. It’s always them somehow fucking up in SPECTACULAR fashion. It’s never just a little bit wrong…it always goes as wrong as possible. It’s amazing. What, did they use WAV files or somethin’? …transferred by a cassette recording? How did they manage to get this latest thing wrong? 
The next global pandemic that nearly brings human civilization to its end… this company’s fuck-up will somehow be involved, just watch.
edit----it does sadden me though that I had to just give up on the Elder Scrolls franchise. As long as it’s owned and handled by the “B” company, there is no hope.

What intrigues me about Bethesda is that every flipping time they fuck up it’s something I would have never seen coming. It takes artistry to innovate in fucking up the way they do. And it just doesn’t stop.

Is DOOM 2024 a confirmed thing? I’m not sure where they’d take the series right now TBH. I want a new Quake game, ideally with a great campaign AND multiplayer that is good and not tacked on like both recent DOOM titles.
People do this all the time. You’re doing it right now with the Wiz thing.
People love gossip. Look at reality TV and shows like 90 Day Fiance. I also bet you have friends and family that love to gossip about their friends and family.

Nothing is confirmed or even rumored per se, though idk how Eternal’s story ends and if there’s a cliffhanger again like there was in 2016. I guess they could always sorta remake Doom 3
Considering how Champions turned out I’m not sure they can do another multiplayer Quake. But I would like a new Quake title in general, be it a reboot or a Quake 5. The problem is if they do a singleplayer Quake - how can they differentiate it enough from Doom and Eternal to not make it a same game in a slightly changed wrapping?

I’ve been listening to the various SoR soundtracks while I kill shit in Path of Exile because of the hype for SoR4. I’m pretty sure I’ll Day Juan it on PC.
I think an underappreciated beat 'em up game with a Firaga OST is Super Double Dragon. I listen to it pretty often.
Love this game…I have a ton of nostalgia for it.

They made Eternal feel fresh & new so I have faith they could make a new Quake game feel unique as well.
The devs said they got bored during the development of Eternal, so maybe working on a Quake game would reignite their Fira making gaemz.
I actually hear Quake Champions is really good - someday I’ll actually play it. I have it on Steam(t’s a 100% F2P) but when I went to play it I had to make a Bethesda.net account and I was in such a lazy mood at the time that I closed the game.

I don’t quite get that foolishness with the Bnet thing… it annoyed the hell out of me when I couldn’t just start the damn game (Doom Eternal) after it installed… I had to “create an account”…nah fuck THAT, I just want to play what I just bought. If that company were to vanish a week from now, most people would only be sad that we’d have nothing to laugh at in the industry, at least for a while until some other company becomes the next “lolcow” to be in the headlines constantly.
I finally got Yakuza Remastered PS4 on Sunday and started it.
(I canceled my Gamestop order after no progress was made for 3 weeks. I bit the bullet on Amazon and got in like 9 days.I got my money credited back and they said they would mail a gift card with the amount used from the order. Im not anticipating it soon due to COVID though)

Weird, I didn’t have to on PC. It said it was required for some MTX related things but I didn’t care about that so I skipped making one and hopped right into the game.
It’s a relaxed and slow start, but things will pickup soon and the pacing changes a lot when it does. 3 has a lot of charm imo, it’s one of my favorite games in the series.
