Yeah, usually with action type games, especially ones this long, you bound to see slight reskins or palette swaps, but Square didnt take the lazy route

Iām definitely considering picking up FF7R and having my wife try it out and seeing her reactions to it. Iām not much of a RPG person anymore (despite double dipping on Octopath), but I played through the original FF7 and beat it ā¦ so I guess I gotta get it.
Also, āvery popularā opinion ā¦ I think the world could do without having all of the Resident Evil games being remade. If youāre going to remaster a single game from the series, fucking do the very first one!!

Itās nothing like RE2/3 remakes.
If you have an Xbox One (or PC) you need to do yourself a favor and play Ori Will of the Wisps. I played it for over 3 hours straight last night and itās just incredible. Everything about the game is a masterpiece.

No. Itās a huge remake from the ground up with new areas, QOL changes, new puzzles and story beats. Itās as much a remake as 2 and 3 are.

yeah thatās one of my next purchases for sureā¦ I have the first Ori game; itās really the visuals that hooked me immediately; the art and design going on thereā¦the colorsā¦ itās gorgeous.
Vampyr (currently on sale on Switch, btw; 29.99)ā yāknow, this sadly doesnāt have much competition, but it recently hit me that yesā¦ this is indeed my #1 vampire gameā¦so far of all time. Naturally there is VTM: Bloodlines as well, but that one is from 2004 and obviously the graphics did not age well at allā¦and it was pc-only. Iāll get around to it one day, perhaps whenever I get a new gaming-oriented pc. Aside from that old game, the other notables it has to compete against are Blood Omen and ākindaā TES V: Skyrim, (tho obviously vamps and werewolves arenāt the main focus of that game)ā¦for me it actually beats Skyrim just on account of general stability. I never had to worry about this game crashing anytime I went into a new areaā¦canāt say the same about Skyrim, sadly. Then of course Skyrimās combat is a ājankyā awkward mess.
The next contender for the throne of course is Bloodlines 2, though one major flaw already grinding my gears is that it is only in first-person perspective. Iāll still get it, but I really wanted that 3rd person view.

I see Vampire The Masquraid is on sale for Switch right now to. I assume youāve played it since itās an pen world vampire rpg with decision making in it so Iām just gonna ask if its any good and should I buy it?
Thatās VTM Coteries of New York ā I was torn on this one because I love that particular lore/content so muchā¦but I canāt stand the type of game it is; itās a visual novelā¦and from what Iāve seen, they donāt even have voice acting in it. Itās just music and pictures with text describing everythingā¦and the characters donāt even animate. If they at least moved around and had spoken lines Iād probably get it but nahā¦not unless it was super-cheap one day like 2 or 3 bucks, maybe 4.
I love the art in thereā¦but I really need more than that out of a game, in terms of production and gameplay. (haha that type of game barely has what Iād call āgameplayā at all, actuallyā¦ youāre just selecting sentences showing what your character does or says.) I also heard that your choices donāt even matter that much in terms of how the story ends for each characterā¦which is another thing; thereās not even that many characters to pick from.

yeah, itās an unfortunate thingā¦I just looked it up again; Coteries only has 3 characters to pick from who represent Brujah, Ventrue and Toreadorā¦quite a lot of VTM clans left out, though there is a standalone expansion soon featuring a Lasombra-clan character. I also usually prefer some kind of customization as well.
Diablo 3ā the paragon levels continue to fly byā my seasonal wizard is Paragon 41 or so now; using some of the Vyrās set, my usual thingā¦up to Torment II difficulty at this pointā¦looking forward to getting the demonic āspider-legā wings soonā¦you get it for completing the 4th tier of season challenges.
