Peta does this all the time, they tried to do this shit with Pokemon, Super Mario (and the Tanooki Suit) and couple of other Nintendo properties, I donât know why Nintendo just flat out sue them for IP infringement, since they treat youtubers who do lets plays of their games like dog shit.
And if you look how PETA handled Mario and Detective Pikachu, its grounds for IP violations left and right.

It would be weird if it did turn out to be a game. They already are working on Project GG, the additional content for the Wonderful 101 remake, Babylon Falls and Bayonetta 3. Even with the new studio beqnch opening that is a lot of games to have what is normally a smaller development group to work on given HD development.
