The conversation has a very clear theme.

Did someone say Avatar?

Bolin is the Bro I wish I had. I would have been his wingman for him because he’s a cool dude. Mako deserved nothing.

I still haven’t seen the Avatar series. It’s been on my to-do list for the last 10+ years.

Mako is a little bit of a jerk. He kinda only thinks of himself. The opposite of Bolin.

I would say get the fuck on it. But I can’t talk cause I still never finished the last season of Korra also neither series ain’t currently on a streaming platform to recommend.

I gotta finish the final season of Korea too, I forgot about it tbh. It is a great show tho. I think my favorite season was the one with the escaped prisoners

Book 3/Red Lotus season was the strongest season imo. Henry Rollins was fucking outstanding as Zaheer, the benderless monk who was obsessed with air nomad culture/leader of the red lotus

What element does Kim Jong Un bend?

That season was porbably the best of Korra.
Zaheer was an interesting char and it always felt like a threat.
BTW i liked how on a 1 vs 1 duel, even when he was a wild card using airbending in out of the box ways he couldnt defeat Tenzin.
You could see that if it wasnt for the Red Lotus intervention, he would have trunced the floor with him.

My phone did that shit TWICE after I corrected it. I just said ā€œFuck itā€ lol

It’s because Tenzin was such an orthodox air bender he only fought like an air bender. The only thing he really did different was his weird air wheel he’d use to gain momentum.

But while Zaheer and Tenzin dedicated their lives to learning air bending and the air nomad culture, Zaheer did it with a different mind set and seemed to study from mostly forbidden texts and styles.

Zaheer was an amazingly deep and layered character. One of my favorite modern day antagonists; animated or otherwise

Yea but he’s saying Tenzins fundamentals where so good that Zaheers tricks couldn’t pull out the win. Gimmicks won’t ever beat a good old fashioned Ume Shoryu.

I know. I was more-or-less agreeing. Zaheer learned and studied for all the wrong reasons. He applied what he learned in different ways because of how he saw the world around him.

Tenzin learned it for preservation of his fathers people, to protect his family and later to pass on the way of his people.

Zaheer learned the air nomad way and air bending techniques to dominate, control/manipulate and make sense of what he thought was a fractured world
