Why the JK? If Midway hadn’t gone tits up they would have been able to do the DLC and patches they had planned. Game was awesome and had a shit ton of untapped potential. imo.
My guess is another reboot with almost entirely new characters ala SFIII. Kitana and Lui likely being the only returning characters.
I’ve never played Monks. I just know it’s considered a GOAT beat em up. So whether it’s a sequel or a full HD remake/remaster I’m happy.
Randomly started thinking about top-10 worst games of 2019…fucking hell, we still have all of November and December left, and yet the list can already pretty much be filled out
Crackdown 3
Anthem
Jump Force
Left Alive
Elder Scrolls Blades
Contra: Rogue Corps
Mario Kart Tour
Ghost Recon: Breakpoint
WWE 2k20
NBA 2k20
Honorable mention to Wolfenstein Youngblood, SolSeraph, The Sinking City, and Life is Strange 2
Even if there was a super hype surprise (Shaolin Monks 2 PLEASE), MK ain’t done as far as the current story line. They’ll find some way to reset everything. It might even take the whole next game for them to do it, but they’ll do it.
Probably should have said revert. Whether it’s somehow taking back everything they just did, or doing the same stuff in MK Universe 2.0 for… reasons, I wouldn’t count on MK to be too different next time. Basically, they’re making it seem like they’re going to go all SFIII on MK, where most of the characters were new. I just doubt that’s going to happen.
I honestly thought the original MG team was developing it, i was super hype til I saw it was a glitchy mess. It had everything it needed to succeed and still sucked
Next MK could just be a modern day MK Trilogy, dream match sort of deal, a celebration of the series just like Smash on Switch.
Just throw every character in with a non-canon story. Classic music & stages from across the franchise, it’ll print money
