Well, I don’t think they’re trolling, they really do want to make more Okami. I think this is just a case of bad English phrasing since it’s not their first language.
Also I didn’t know this but Nakamura was involved in both Okami and Bayonetta.

Since I’ve decided to turn my KI2 cabinet into a mame cabinet and I’m starting the process of getting it out of my garage after 7 years (after sitting in my moms basement for 7 years prior), I thought you all might get a kick out of the cabinet. Yes this is how it came when I bought it back in like 2003.
Pretty dope. What are you gonna do with the hardware?
What you mean exactly?
I’m going to buy this.
And I already have a spare Pi so I’m going to use that to turn it into a Retro Pi machine with just Mame on it most likely. So I’ll be using all of the hardware pretty much. I have KI1 PCB in there right now, but I will definitely just be hanging onto that. My original HDD that went along with it died many years ago so I bought a flash memory version of the HDD off of ebay.
It’s very similar to this one but this is the KI2 version.
The actual arcade hardware. Sell? Junk?
Sounds like it’s long gone already.
Radiant, are you talking about the actual arcade board for KI?
Aaaand here we go…
Extra
Will have to watch it later.
If, and that’s HUGE FUCKING IF, Kamiya does want to work on a sequel to Okami, that’d be cool but I thought the game wrapped up nicely already.
I’d prefer Kamiya’s first sequel be Viewtiful Joe 3 if we are talking about Clover. I believe the entire team (all 7 of them, lol) made the jump to P*.
Still not sure what you are talking about. I pretty much just explained to you everything that is part of it. I think my KI2 PCB either got trashed long ago when I moved here or I have it in a closet somewhere. I also used to have MK1 and MK2 but that is either gone as well or trashed long ago.
There isn’t much to a cabinet. It’s just the wood, a monitor, control panel, jamma harness, bunch of wires, and the pcb. I guess you can count the marquee and coin box too if you want. Oh and the power supply.
I’ll save you the trouble. Just play Paladins.
@Radiantsilvergun3 maybe this will help a little bit. Here is the back open.
And here is KI1 PCB, and you can see that little flash memory card. That used to be an IDE cable that ran to an 5400rpm HDD that had the pre-rendered graphics on it.
Here’s the control panel open.
And here it is taken off
Nice. Yea I was just wondering if you had the original hardware, might have offered some money for it. Clearly not. That’s fine, no big deal. Anyway good luck on the project man. Keep us updated.
You mean the original KI2 PCB/HDD? I may have it somewhere but I wouldn’t sell it.
EDIT:
Holy shit I just checked ebay and some have sold for like $500. Maybe if I did have it I would sell it lol. I paid $300 for the KI2 game back in 2003. And that was for the cabinet and PCB/HDD. I picked it up from a Timeout arcade in VA.
Yea dude, legit arcade hardware goes for cash man.
For the past week I been playing a VR game called Asgard’s Wraith. A game like this is why I made the jump into VR. The level of immersion and interaction I get out of this is crazy. It’s a fully feature 40 hour+ action RPG at that. The combat in this is parry heavily so I can imagine anyone who hates parries as the primary means of defense won’t like the combat every much. What sucks is I want this one progress relevant weapon that fucking kills my framerate when it appears on screen. The fire effects on it turns my game into a slide show. I must poured 15 hours into already and I’m still in chapter 2.
Why Columns II instead of the 1st one for the Genesis?
The Genesis version even improved from the arcade original.
And Ichiander the Sequel to the game no one remembers, Puzzle & Action: Tant-R (which is a is a spin off of Bonanza Bros). It sorta a Early Wario-ware style game.
Gutting is complete. The thing is probably 1/2 the weight and should be a bit more manageable to get into my basement. It’s still probably like 200lbs though.
I wouldn’t sell my KI1 even for like $300 at this point. I’d just rather hang onto it.
