amiibo’s releases and amiibo in stores Are rare now because Nintendo fucked up and they know they fucked up.
Not because of the short printing or exclusives or whatever but they over printed a set no one was super interested in (Animal Crossing). They assured retailers it would sell. When it didn’t. retailers were pissed. Thus the want of amiibo in brick and mortar stores plummeted. Before that they Actually couldn’t keep up with the demand
I’m much less argumentative than I used to be a few years ago. A lot of posters I won’t even seriously engage with. At this point any time I involve myself in an argument it’s usually just because I genuinely believe in the point I’m trying to make, while also trying to find common ground with the other guy. Or someone is just so far off base that I feel they could use some course correction.
Other than that, my philosophy on approaching a lot of these internet arguments is usually along the lines of “it ain’t that deep bro”.
Havent debated/argued in well over a year cuz ppl said I love to debate or whatever. But what made me stop is most of the time it would devolve into petty insults & not address actual points, which is mad ignorant
So to keep from throwin hands I generally don’t engage
Mega Man Zero/ZX Advent Legacy Collections drops on Tuesday. As does the One Punch Man fighter. Anyone picking up either or both?
Definitely getting the Zero/ZX Legacy Collection. I doubt I’ll get One Punch Man. As fun as it looks it also looks like the standard affair arena fighter from Bamco. So I’ll wait 3-6 months when it’s undoubtedly bargain bin fodder.
I really want that One Punch Man game to be fun, cause I’d like to get it day one. But I’ll probably wait and see how it pans out. Megaman Collection already pre-ordered.
I’m hoping the sheer ridiculousness and hilarity of some of the mechanics in OPM elevate it above your typical arena fighter. But… We’ll see.
Me too. It’s the only anime arena fighter I’ve seen that looks fun since the original Jump Ultimate Stars for DS.
I generally don’t preorder games anymore unless I absolutely have to. I always check if I can pick it up at work or the surrounding Walmart’s because 9/10 they’re $5-10 cheaper than anywhere else.
If I can’t get them in-store I’ll just order it from our dotcom store and have it delivered or do site-to-store so I can pick it up after work.
If none of those options are available to me then I’ll order off Best Buy or Amazon.
Yeah. I’m wait and see on it too. The Saitama mechanic seems hilarious.
Yeah. I generally don’t pre order anymore period. But it’s an established series of games I know I like, and I tend to get my Switch stuff digital anyway, so I just went ahead.
The messenger was a really fun game. My only complaint with the game was a few places dealing with the limitation of the grappling hook and I swear that thing would lag randomly at the worst time. That’s part of the reason I never wanted to try the one life run, I know that grappling hook is going to crush my hopes and dreams.
Those little areas where a lack of polish really stands out are pretty common with several 2d indies that get hyped up. Another one that drives me nuts is the extreme overuse of screen shaking- Blazing Chrome, Valfaris, and Katana Zero (that one is very overhyped) all spammed the shit out of it, had to turn the effect off in the latter two to make them playable. Precise platforming sucks ass when the screen is constantly shaking.
