I still cry for Bizarre Creations. Blur was my favorite racer of last gen.

I personally find that a one stop solution to every problem is generally a huge mistake.

Most of the owners if those studios do it as they see the money they are getting in pocket leads to a very nice retirement. Like how instead of being 250k in debt I going to get millions in retirement, yeah I will sell my passion company that made artisan products to the soulless comperation.

I think most people would take that deal

Sekiro is probably the most approachable of these three games, in my opinion. Progression isn’t as cryptic as a typical Souls game, and the combat is extremely intuitive once you understand it. It has the biggest focus on movement and verticality by far, with combat that requires you to balance tactful aggression and well timed defensive strategy. There’s no leveling, there’s no upgrading really. You can upgrade your max endurance, health and base attack and that’s it. It’s both very different but very similar to your typical Souls game.

Bloodborne is very much a Souls game. You have cryptic lore, and a not entirely clear path that forces you to explore and pay close attention to every small detail. The combat is very grounded compared to Sekiro, but also a lot faster paced than any other Souls. This is easily one of my favorite games ever and it’s hard for me to tell you all the great things about it without spoiling everything. Just know you’re in for one of the most uniquely challenging action RPG’s ever made.

Nioh is incredible too, but I’d recommend it much less than either of these games, or any Souls game period. It’s very much a build based game with a heavy emphasis on leveling up your character and gear. There’s tons of skills that can be learned for each different weapon type, and a litany of magic buffs and attacks that gives the game a ton of depth. The combat is very Ninja Gaiden style, so it’s very fast paced and high damage. But it does not have the same weight and heft that swinging a weapon in Souls does and that always brought it down a peg for me. Either way, the environments, great combat, and dope weapons are all there.

Basically, what I’m saying is I can’t recommend Bloodborne enough.

So I just learned GDQ had a shmup this year. Mushihimesama Futari and Gus fucking kills it to. I recommend anyone remotely interested in the genre or seeing peak play in a game should watch this. The dodges are out of this world.

Honestly I might be having more fun watching the chat lose it’s fucking mind then watching the run lmao.

Sony ducking E3 for the second year in a row.

The reason being is that Sony said ā€œE3 does not fit into our vision of what we want to accomplish this yearā€

They also said they still plan on going to 100’s of trade shows this year to show off the PS5 hardware, new PS4 and PS5 games as well as having several State of Plays planned.

Well E3 is stopped being a Trade show for the industry and it became a overpriced under featured Mag Fest in cosplay as a trade show.

E3 used to exist so that manufactures and retail networks can make deals, and until a few years ago that what it 90% was.

Although that’s true, it doesn’t actually matter til you beat the game the first time. You literally just pick the strongest new piece you got for the weapon type or armor weight class you like because you won’t keep any of it til you nearly beat the game and unlock the next tier of rarity for equipment. Once you do unlock it then you really start making a build. Even then though, you don’t really have to min max until the absolute latest game content

Naw. It cause no one wants to support you. From potential customers to companies. You’ve flooded your stores with shit no one asked for. Rarely have any good sales or incentives for anyone to come to your stores

It won’t because that would be too strong. There are attacks with blocking frames and those will work on anything, and there are some weapons in Nioh 2 that can parry some Yokai attacks, but it’s not everything. The whole thing is that Yokai and Human fights are supposed to feel different because of how differently Ki works for them and the parry differences are just a part of that.

Not sure why anyone would want to just parry every single enemy in the game anyway. Sounds boring as fuck. That’s a big issue I had with Assassin’s Creed 2. You literally had no incentive to use any other combat strategy because waiting for the parry till everyone around you died was way too strong.
