Video Game General 6.5: Now with more surprise mechanics

Fuck the dodogamas.
Luckily they are so dumb that they are making themselves extint by meddling with other mosnters business.

I remember there was this dodogama that kept trying to fight a Deviljo i was hunting, just to be horribly mauled by it, me and my crew were laughing at how brutal it was.
That kept happening every single time until the dodogama got itself killed, lol.

That’s how I feel about Paolumu. I would feel this way about Kulu-ya-ku if it wasn’t such a dumbass.

Too bad that Paolumus made for good fashion

They all deserve to die and be made into my armor and weapons.

No one shall be spared.

The only thing I’ve ever felt bad for killing in a video game are the Gorons in Hyrule Warriors. The reason being when you kill them they let out such a depressing And heart wrenching ā€œNooooooā€. It’s just so sad. :frowning:

I think I need to take a rest from Furi, jesus that game is brutal. Not only are several bosses so annoying, but turns out Furier difficulty changes their attack patterns as well? And then there’s the DLC too

Scale, Burst and Star can fuck off

P.S. I’d suggest playing the game either on PC or on the Pro if you can, base PS4 sometimes struggles to keep up and there are not only framerate drops (especially when there’s a lot of particle effects on the screen) but also occasional stutters. Not to mention the terrible screentearing as a result of disabled V-Sync to help the framerate stay closer to 60

Dead Cells—annnd of course I die to a random fat enemy in the High Peak Castle…of course…and that was one of the best Brutality builds I’ve ever had going on there, with the 25 points, Corrupted Power on S-rank, etc. etc.

Quick note— HIVE JUMP is on sale on Nintendo eShop; for just 99 cents! I hit that up immediately.

I main insect glaive so it’s flight don’t bother me. It’s too cute to kill. On master rank it puts guys to sleep. It gives you a nap and leave. It ain’t trying to hurt nobody.

Thought this was entertaining, I would have cleaned up on the questions and got bodied in the final jeopardy

For those of you who like bullet hell shmups, Crimzon Clover is currently on sale for $1.99 on Humble (usually $9.99).

Nightshade Paolumu made me extremely grateful for holding on to my sleep resistance decos.

Fucking brilliant. Everyone should jump on this Crimzon Clover is awesome, and was developed by 1 man. It’s fucking medal confetti with particle effects out the wazoo and really creative bosses. Games so good it got an arcade board made for it.

I keep wishing it would get a Switch release.

ok… if you don’t have a shield when fighting the Giant in Dead Cells…I’m reallyyyyy not seeing how it is even possible to beat that bitch. You WILL get hit by the fireballs. If you roll, you just get hit by the next stack of fireballs…and it doesn’t look like the character’s jump can cleanly evade the fireballs since they move so slowly…and sometimes he’s doing the eye-lasers attack WHILE the fireballs are going by…without a shield you’re just fucked and that’s that. There’s the ā€œphaserā€ teleport but it will put you out by the lava so you take damage that way.

I wish I had known all these tips before playing Furi. Some of these aren’t obvious. I never knew there were alarms on the second boss to lure her out.
