Re my Game of the Year: Links Awakening remake. Despite the few technical hiccups it has it’s pretty much a master class remake of my favorite Zelda title and one of my favorite games of all time.

There are framerate issues all over. They weren’t enough to bother me at all.
And I agree, that may be my favorite game this year as well. I don’t even think I played an AAA titles this year really other than that and SMM2. SMM2 was pretty damn awesome for a while too.

You know…i wish videogames where like movies. When I buy a movie these days I get the physical and it comes with the digital version. That’s how Videogame game sales should work.
Edit: I especially feel this way with the Switch. I prefer the buy physical whenever possible but the nature of the Switch makes digital far more convenient, especially the majority of games I like to buy for my Switch, shmups. Tiny arcade games that don’t take up much space but owning these physically is not only nice but Shmups are one of the few game genres that appreciate in value somewhat reliably making physical the way to go for a number of reasons. I want boooooth stomps feet like petulant child.

I really, really want to give Sekiro my game of the year.
But so far, yeah, Resident Evil 2 still takes it for me. I platinumed it over 5 months ago and I still start it up all the time. Fucking brilliant recreation of a classic, that even surpasses its inspiration.
Outside of that, idk, I played a lot of good shit this year… But if I had to pick 3: Sekiro, Remnant and Modern Warfare were some of my favorite shit. Remnant was fucking awesome. I can’t believe how much time I sunk into it with friends AND solo and I still haven’t even beaten it. Modern Warfare has been a blast. Sekiro is in there for what should be very obvious reasons.
Honorable mentions are like, Apex Legends, Red Dead 2, Outer Worlds, Borderlands 3, MK11, World War Z, and Pokémon. Kinda hard to believe that Apex only came out this year.

So by the time its no longer ps4 exclusive the new consoles will be out. Prob a high chance of a port showing up on Scarlet but that puts a ? on Xbone. Considering what Phil’s been doing if there’s a chance to make this happen he will make it happen. Very curious how deep Sony’s fingers are in this though, be really interesting if they went for the cockblock and made it so it could only get released on PC.

So MLB announced they’re signing a contract extension with Playstation.
The kicker is though, the long time Playstation Exclusive MLB titles will be so available on other consoles for the first time after 2021

I picked up Valfaris on PC after not being able to sleep. Will have the OST uploaded in about 1/2 hour, and I have the zip file with the OST encrypted to keep it to SRK users for right now.

…San Diego is owned by Sony right? And Sony agreed to this? What the hell is happening this generation? Now I’m wondering how much money MLB offered to them to get them to agree.
They probably will make more money with it being multi-plat since I imagine Sony will get a cut out of copies sold on other platforms.
