So Toaplan was one of the most prolific arcade developers of the 80s with many titles. They went out of business tho in 1993 when they couldn’t compete with the quarter munching monster that was Street Fighter 2. After they went under their developers all split and formed their own arcade companies, one of them being Cave. Toaplan pedigree was like no other and their influence on the industry can still be felt today.
There was thought we would never get modern releases of Toaplan games because the licenses for their games are scattered to the wind. Leave it to M2 to do the tough job and navigating that licensing mess.
ok yeah, the “Defender” weapons and armor, they’re called…I have a “defender” Chargeblade that’s blue-level sharpness and 790 something damage! My old Zorah M. chargeblade looked cool but I can’t say no to these superior stats…and for less materials. You can just buy the “defender” stuff from the armory/workshop vendors like it’s starting equipment that just happens to be a god-level boost for a new character…there is no point in using anything else, really…at least early in the game, obviously.
ha, it will be annoying but also kinda funny if my old friend with the horrible character builds in D3 were to get into this game too…and this game is wayyyy less forgiving than Diablo
The British really do have the best sense of humor
