Played a bit of Shenmue 1 on my phone last night.
After the very first cutscene, I was confident that I need to play this on a TV. So I’ll be picking up the collection today.

OOOOOOOOOOOH my processor came in from eBay.
I ordered it around Oct. 10 or so, and it was estimated between Oct 20-something and Nov 7. It didn’t get here until 15 days after the deadline, goddamn.
I got it specifically to boost performance in gaemz like Tekken 7 and Path of Exile(RIP.) I should be able to up all of the T7 settings to max now while maintaining the coveted 60 FPS. It’s like me going from a vanilla PS4 to an Xbone One X in terms of performance gainz. HYPE ISRAEL

Yeah and their previous attempts with the Fire line of devices to build a platform appear to have gone nowhere. A cloud based platform combined with Twitch could be something if they don’t fall into the same pitfalls Google did with rushing out a beta and calling it a Founder’s edition.
I wouldn’t call the fire devices a failure. Fire stick is popular with pirates. A jailbroken fire stick is like having illegal cable. Fire tablets are dirt cheap. They made for fine e-readers or something to give the kids.

Gender neutral controller… for crying out loud, IT’S A FREAKING CONTROLLER. Dang things have always been for either sex. Next thing you know, gender neutral steering wheels will be used to sell 2020 cars.

I show a gamepad to my niece, asked her if its a boy or girl controller, she looks at me and she said “Uncle its a controller not a human”, She is 3. A Child can figure this shit out, why can’t google.

Oh the devices are awesome, I have a few in the house myself but as a game platform it is a failure. Remember a few years back they released their controller and bought a few development teams that they were working with on I forget the name but it was a well known game engine they rebranded as Lumberyard.
We got nothing out of that push and until this recent Cloud thing it looked like they had quietly cancelled everything they said they were working on.

Been thinking about the gender neutral thing and it reminded me about how people were saying smart phones were sexist because they were getting so large and too big for female hands.
Maybe google was trying to say it was the right size for all hands?

Doesn’t Google collects mountains of consumer data to get a better picture of what people want so they can shape their products accordingly and cater to the billions of people whose provided that information. Is this the result of petabytes of information collected? Is this what the collective consciousness of billions told them to make?
Surely they are using all that data they mined for product improvement as promised and not for other reasons.
