the mkx version is better
At the end of the day, my worst enemies in this game are me for being so inconsitent, and the goddamn RNG because it hates me and never gives me the weapons i need, lol
I was going to just watch others stream but the game too, but holy shit even that is taking so long I just dropped the idea entirely. And the full cutscenes compilation on youtube is 12 fucking hours long.
Ohhhh I knew this would be such a beautiful disaster
oooh and I just found there’s a gamefaqs Stadia board! ohhh this is going to be SO good…
I’m already seeing an argument in the first topic…
Been getting lost in Shenmue 3 and I’m having a blast. Game looks gorgeous, its world still feels alive, and all the quirkiness of the characters remain. The spirit of the original games are very much still intact. My only complaint so far is the combat is a bit janky. They definitely weren’t going to equal or even half Virtua Fighter on their first swing. It mostly comes down to the budget & time constraints limiting what they could do, but it still isn’t my favorite part of the game. Ryo’s moves and him blocking look well enough on their own, but some of the animations on block, hit & knockdown on the opponents are a little weird. It’s probably why throws, and proper counter moves(The true Counter elbow assault) aren’t in. The body to body interactions in combat aren’t there yet.
With that said considering the scale of the game, everything else is AMAZING and absolutely punching above it’s weight. It’s amazing to think the game cost roughly as much to make as a Life is Strange game. Yu Suzuki is very much still a genius and he knows how to make an engaging addictive gameplay loop. Definitely give it a whirl if you’re looking for a change of pace from the usual plodding around open worlds.
Now imagine what he can do with modern technology AND a proper budget

I hate knowing the Walmart I work at won’t have the Langrisser remake in stock. It’s too obscure of a title and it’s not kid targeted shovel ware.
I’ll have to either order online from the dotcom store or order it from Best Buy. I don’t plan on renewing my amazon prime when it expires next month and fuck GameStop.
This game keeps sounding more and more hype with each news. If the combat isn’t too wonky this might very well be one of the best dragon ball games ever
Most likely gonna be sticking to classic artwork for Langrisser. I love me some old school anime art. The new ones look like they are from a cheap Kemco mobile RPG.
30 years already damn! It means I was 6 years old when I was playing this in the arcades shit I’m old.
I’m disappointed this is just a mod and not an official release capcom what the hell are you doing?
Read a few reviews. I’m completely baffled that Yu Suzuki chose not to conclude the story with Shenmue 3. I wasn’t following the development that closely but that seems like a huge risk for a crowd funded game.
Nah, the other two are funnier. This one is just disappointing. Fortunately, they eventually fixed those issues. In contrast, Tekken 7 and Stadia are fucked from start to finish.
P.S. Langrisser collection is hype. I could never get into any other tactical RPG excluding Final Fantasy Tactics.
Actually that’s a very apt comparison. Lucas was as responsible for fucking up Star Wars as he was for creating it because he wouldn’t let anyone check him when it was necessary.
Yu said it wouldn’t conclude the story during the Kickstarter. This was known from day 1 of development.
