I actually want Apex Legends to win best MP. That game is dope as fuck, and the best iteration of any BR I’ve played so far. It’s like Fortnite, but actually fun.

There are a ton of objective things with any type of item or entertainment or art. Whether the thing works as intended. Whether it reaches or exceeds the design goals the creator set out for it. Whether the creator even had the ability to realize their vision as they felt it, etc. In the case of games, whether it’s buggy or not. Etc.
Then you’re reading into what I’m saying and making assumptions based on the words I used rather than looking at the actual words I said.
Can you seriously not see how making a statement about how you feel about something and making a statement about the quality of something are NOT interchangeable?
This isn’t about my taste versus any one else’s. It’s about people saying the WAY THEY FEEL about something is the SAME AS the actual qualities of that something.

Because he isn’t putting words in your mouth or misinterpreting what you are saying to mean something else in order to bolster his position. His position is quite clear. Opinion statements and objective statements are two different thing and your ability to comment on its objective merits are moot when you haven’t actually experienced the thing properly. Pretty simple. He is responded to exactly what you said. You disliking what what he has to say isn’t him misinterpreting your words, its him pointing out your position makes 0 fucking sense as you have worded it. He also isn’t attributing things you haven’t said to you which you have done this conversation when you insuated we thought you had to invest money into the game before you had anything to say about it which no one fucking said at all.
You keep treating this like words are just words and mean whatever you want them to mean as is convenient for you and that’s not how they work, like at all.
This is so simple. If you haven’t properly experienced the thing you are commenting on then you can’t make objective statements about it’s quality. Only subjective ones because you perspective is a subjective one. You have no hands on time with it so you cant make any real deffinitive statements about the things quality, youre just an outsider looking in. No one gives a shit about someone’s opinion on a cars performance and handling if they’ve never driven said car. At best they can comment on how the car looks, sounds and maybe how the ride is from the passengers seat. But your opinion on driving it? Fucking moot. Same with games.

never played mgs except 3 snake eater. never finished it really. wasnt really impressed.
did play metal gear nes. but again. meh.

Zone of the Enders 2 was directed by Shiro Murata, not Hideo Kojima.
My favorite of Kojima’s work is MGS1 and 3. 2 ranks up high for having a narrative that’s more relevant now then it was 15 years ago when it came out. I find that impressive personally.

So why even bother talking about how you feel about how a game looks, sounds, plays, narrates…etc if it’s not out yet and no one has experience with it? Which is the whole point of gameplay trailers, reveal trailers, overview trailers…etc? For every one game that gets a beta or demo there’s 100’s that don’t and we just have to go off what we’ve seen.
