I’m weird about that. If I played a shooter on console first, I tend to stick to pad. If I played it on PC first. I stick to keyboard and mouse. It makes no logical sense. It carries over for other genres as well. It doesn’t matter much now since Bioware is basically a zombie studio at this point, but I can’t play any Dragon Age games on console. I need the keyboard and mouse. On the flipside, playing Mass Effect on keyboard and mouse just doesn’t feel right to me.

man, Gears 5 will really be something once they start mixing things up; newer characters are on the way this month, and I’m looking forward to when they finally bring the “Hivebusters” over to Horde mode, and make some Horde characters playable in Hive. That Hive mode is super-fast, btw…though one factor is that I was trying it on a lower difficulty, of course…but it’s just more beneficial to just run past as many enemies as you can, really…the objective is getting out of there to the extraction point, and you’re low on resources anyway (you start with just a handgun and a pitiful amount of ammo; this makes sense though due to the concept) so there’s no significant reason to stay and fight.

Jesus Christ at that patent. When it comes to these AAA publishers and monetization, I keep thinking “there’s no way they can go lower” and I keep getting surprised. I’m legit afraid to think of what they will do next because it’s like they take my thoughts and brainstorm how they they can do something even shittier.
It’s sad it’s going to take legal proceedings to get them to stop. What gets me the most is that most people hate microtransactions, and don’t buy them. You would think most people are buying them; that’s why the pubs put all this shit in, right? No. They’re aiming at a select few who have the tendencies (gamblers, rich, addicts) to pay gobs of money for the MTX, on top of what they already paid for the game. They get so much from that portion it’s worth it to target them at the expense of everyone else.
Meaning, they know full well 90-95% of their gamerbase hates/merely tolerates MTX, but they don’t care as long as they can get to that 5. So, the only way to really stop it is to have enough people not buying the game in the first place that the whales (that’s what they call them) are disinterested there’s no one to play with. But that won’t happen, because there’s people who whine but buy the game anyway, and a steady stream of new players to replace those who did give up. The only thing to stop these fuckers now is legislation. I’m just hoping another Battlefront 2 level fiasco happens to speed things along.

hahah ol’ “darksfadil” is streaming Gears 5 Horde mode…and of course it’s terrible. 
He recently hijacked a boomer scion—this reminds me that they are unfortunately a bad choice. Their shots and reload time on the boomshot are SO damn slow it just wastes your ultimate time. So far I’ve always picked regular locust/swarm drones; they have a normal movement speed and their “Claw” rifle is a decent/fast weapon. The occasional Hunter is another one I typically go for, as they have the Markza…and of course any of the robots that have the tri-shot.
edit—Pouncers are good ones to hijack too; they do surprisingly good damage.

How was the game last the initial section? I LOVED the demo but I’ve never been that into RE as I’ve always preferred Silent Hill’s approach to survival horror more.
