Guardian Heroes, Dragon Force, Panzer Dragoon. Mr. Bones. Good times.
Oh and one of the goat Saturn shooters Radiant Silvergun.
Nights into Dreams, Clockwork Knight, Fighters Megamix, Virtua Fighter 2, the Panzer Dragoon games, Shining Force 3, Shining the Holy Ark, while not a exclusive the Symphony of the Night port had some good extras and they should be able haggle with Capcom for at least the Alpha 3 port. Not even mentioning some of the racing or sport titles.
The Saturn had more then enough gems if they could be brought over proper would appeal to a decent sized audience if they could get an Sega Ages or Saturn Mini treatment.
I think a Saturn Mini should also have Tomb Raider. Just to poke fun at Playstation Classic.
Iād definitely buy one but then again theyāre currently remastering PD 1&2 for current-gen so maybe thatās just the start? Hereās hoping.
Action game fans look at this shit. Issa beautiful. @Million-X
I want to replay vanilla NGII but the only suXbox 3shitty pad I have developed a drift in the left analog stick. Gotta buy another one. Micro$oft with the quality hardware. Meanwhile my Dual Shock 3 that came with my PS3 in like 08ā still works after 1000ās of hours of use. The battery crapped out before the pad did.
And the battery is replaceable
For anyone thatās been sleeping on getting yakuza 6
Also Iām still trying to decide if I want the Genesis mini or not. Even though I grew up with pretty much ever Sega console/Attachment until
The Saturn Iām not really emotionally attached or invested to any of the systems or their libraries. Mainly because I always wanted a Nintendo system more and never found most of Segaās first party titles that interesting. So Iād constantly trade systems with my best friend so he could play the newest Sega games and I could play the newest Nintendo. I always got more enjoyment out of the Nintendo games. We ended up doing the same later when I got a PSOne for Christmas and he got an N66. The only difference is that this time I enjoyed the PSOne library more.
Like, yeah, I had a some Sega games that at the time Iād consider my favorite like Gunstar Heroes, Vector Man, Toe Jam and Earl, Wiz n Liz, Streets of Rage, Revenge of Shinobi, S&K3, Flink (Sega CD title), Golden Ax, TMNT: The Hyperstone Heist, Gain Ground and a few others I canāt think of right nowbut nothing I exactly pine over or remember overly fondly. If I went back and played them today outside of Wiz n Liz, Gain Ground, Hyperion Heist and Vector man I probably wouldnāt care or be as interested in them.
So far the only games in the line up theyāve announced that Iād like to play (not a want or need to play) are Gunstar Heroes and Bloodline.
Like, Iunno man. I can be nostalgic about a lot of shit but I can easily take off the rose tinted glasses and realize something isnāt as good as I thought it was because Iāve become a different person, said thing hasnāt aged well, whatever the case may be.
There is no reason to get Yakuza 6. It is too mediocre for a series with so many good games.
The part that makes the Saturn interesting is that it has a largely unexplored library with many exclusives and definitive ports of games. Unlike Genesis and Dreamcast library, most of those games have not been rereleased. That makes it more interesting as far as collecting is concerned and makes it more desirable.
There are some great RPGs on the Super Nintendo, but Genesis has the better library overall. There is also something awesome about the way developers used the synthesizer-like sound chip of the Genesis. If the Mini came with 6 button pad, Sega CD and 32x games it would be more interesting to collectors.
Because people want to experience the story? Gameplay isnāt everything. Yes. It helps but itās not always the deciding factor in games.
I doubt you see 32x and CD games. Especially 32x games as Sega of Japan hates the 32x.
Also were getting the 3 button pad as were not getting any games that requires 6 buttons.
Hopefully the new replica Genesis and Saturn pads work on the Gen Mini. There also peeps that really want the 3 button pads.
Actually the funny thing is that Guardian Heroes never made it to PSN. I still posts from time to time bringing it up and people still pissed at it. MS funded Bangai-O 3, Radiant Silvergun and Guardian Heroes to drum up interest in a new game from them but neither of those sold well, so the game was cancelled.
That is unfortunate as developers pulled off some black magic with 32x. I was genuinely amazed that they got Virtua Fighter, Virtua Racing, and Mortal Kombat 2 running as well as they did given the hardware. I donāt get the love for 3 button controller as 6 button gives more options.
Even when the 6-button pad came out most Sega games were designed with 3-buttons in mind. I know when I had my 6-button the only times I used them were for fighters.
While I agree that some people should just accept that some games just arenāt made for them and that theyāre in no position to try to force a gamedesign change from a developer, I think that this tweet:
ā¦seems a bit misleading considering we also have this:
Much vitriol. Much 90.
Internal Bioware statement from GM Casey Hudson regarding the Kotaku article (as obtained by Kotaku).
Hey BioWare,
I wanted to get a note out to you to share my thoughts on the Kotaku article and the online discussion it has raised.
The article mentions many of the problems in the development of Anthem and some of our previous projects. And it draws a link between those issues and the quality of our workplace and the well-being of our staff. These problems are real and itās our top priority to continue working to solve them.
What we found out-of-bounds was the naming of specific developers as targets for public criticism. Itās unfair and extremely traumatizing to single out people in this way, and we canāt accept that treatment towards any of our staff. Thatās why we did not participate in the article and made a statement to that effect.
When I was offered the opportunity to return to BioWare as GM, I came into the role knowing the studio was experiencing significant challenges in team health, creative vision, and organizational focus. I was - and continue to be - excited to help drive improvements in those areas because I love this studio, and above all I want to create a place where all of you are happy and successful.
Iām not going to tell you Iāve done a good job at that, and on a day like today I certainly feel like I havenāt. But some of the steps weāve taken towards this include a more focused studio mission and values, so that we have clarity on what we are here to do and how we define a high standard for our studio culture. We updated our studio structure around a matrix so that department directors can be fully focused on individual career support and well-being. We are defining better role clarity so that people can succeed better against clear expectations. And we are putting in place production changes that will provide for clearer project vision as well as a significant post-production period that will further relieve pressure and anxiety on teams during development.
But I know thereās much more to do, and we will talk in more detail about other actions we have been planning in response to internal feedback and postmortems at next weekās All-Hands. As always please continue to provide feedback on further steps we can take to make BioWare the best possible place to work.
Iām committed to getting us to a place where we are delivering on the highest expectations for BioWare games, through a work environment thatās among the very best in the world. With your help, we will get there.
Please let me know if youād like to talk in person and I will be happy to set up time to hear your thoughts.
Casey

so apparently, Handsome Collection is free to play until the 7th. That would explain why I have it. Itās also $15 to own it permanently on XBox for the next week, so I may take advantage of it at some point.
sheeeeit, Iām in the mood for some Borderlands again, after all this talk about it, and remembering so many good timesā¦ I only got 1 character leveled to 30-something in Pre-Sequel; Wilhelmā¦Jackās Doppelganger was my next strongest character; those were my only 2 favoritesā¦ I liked that 1 girl but only because she was hot as hell, reallyā¦looks like Wonder Womanā¦
In B2, I did most things in the game except hit the max level with at least 1 characterā¦ my Salvador was level 61 last I left off, and I think the cap was raised to 72 at some point. Sal and Krieg were my top picks there.
for part 3 I was hoping all past characters would somehow be playable (perhaps a āstory be damned; hereās EVERYBODY.ā mode?) but I realize thatās a longshot, and probably not going to happen.
