I haven’t played the most recent ones but Soul Calibur and DOA are pretty casual friendly in most entries.
And digital is now only through PSN for PlayStation, yeah? I’ll hit up GS after work tomorrow and see if they have any.

Lol. Borderlands 1 GOTYE for PS4 is sold out online but not for the xbonex. Haha.
Also @chadouken you’ll likely be able to just walk in a get a copy tomorrow. I just did a nearby store check and all 3 GameStop’s near me show they have it in stock. 
I’d do it sooner than later though. Physical version exclusives through GameStop usually only get one printing. Two at the most.
Edit. Just realized the B1GOTYE comes out on a Wednesday? That’s really fucking weird. Unless you’re Nintendo media always comes out on Tuesday.

And yeah, it looks typical for an rpg these days. Rpg’s These days take waaaaaay too much from anime these days making them super niche and even alienating people.
It’s not different than people not liking how FPS’s have progressed with auto-healing.
Or how Pokémon has “progressed” with more and more hand holding
