I never brought into the Storm and Black Panther relationship. They barely had any history together before getting hitched. Marvel put together their most prominent African characters for a publicity stunt.

@sonichuman Yeah. Apparently From what Iâve been reading itâs going to be a reboot of sorts. All the main characters from the show like the freeman family, the Duboisâs and Uncle Ruckus (no relation) are going to be in the show. I heard Ruckusâs role is going to be much much more important in the series. Though his character is going to stay the same.
Theyâre also bringing in characters from the comic strips they omitted or didnât really give screen time too the first time around. Like Hueyâs best friend, Cairo

The most recent acquisitions to the new studio, which was first announced to the world back at E3 2018, are the trio of Ian Miller, Ray Yeomans, and Kai Zheng, all of whom were responsible for the level design in 2018âs masterpiece God of War for Sony Santa Monica. The three new employees have signed up to a crew that already includes Annie Lohr - formerly of Electronic Arts and Respawn - and Rockstar alumni Christian Cantamessa and Tom Shepherd.

Oh it absolutely was a publicity stunt. They did have a legit basis being a old backup story published over a decade or more before where they helped each other as kids and Priestâs run referencing it but it was Hudlin and Marvelâs editors wanting to bring hype to the run via a constant guest A list guest or co star.
That being said and despite my own reservations, I eventually dug them as a couple. Just in time to see Marvel haphazardly torpedo the relationship with the terribly written AvX . And in classic modern Marvel fashion mixed messages with X books at times shitting on the now dissolved relationship, hence the Logan hook up, and other books like Avengers making it seem they were still close enough for a near end of the world hook up. Hudlinâs run with Black Panther is not terrible but he brought little in terms of concepts to the franchise other then making ideas others introduce more mainstream or dumbed down.
