Video Game General 6.4: New Halo? What else?

sheeeiiiit, if only that dlc for Marvel UA 3 was out now, man… the wait will be terrible…

for villains—mannnnn it would be cool to play as MODOK. MvC3 gave us a taste of how awesome that is; I want it in an Ultimate Alliance game too…then just imagine the other possibilities…
Mr. Sinister
Bastion/Nimrod
Apocalypse <–HELL yeah. (for a long time, this was my #1 favorite villain out of anything.)
Mephisto

Apocalypse was the GOAT for me until I read the Maximum Carnage run of comics, the novelization and the video game. Carnage is still one of my favorite villains ever.

I would hit my LCS weekly trying to find all the back issues of the Maximum Carnage run back in the day. I eventually got them all.

So I scooped these up tonight at the local bookmans. Still had some trade in credit so jumped on some.

Tomb Raider 2 is sadly a mispurchase. Turns out I already own Tomb Raider 2 lol. I’ll try and take it back Friday and trade it form TR1. Then I’ll have the first 3 for Playstation. Think there is one more after that. I’m super happy with the black label FFT as mine but the dust in a move some time back. Stoked to finally have RE3 with a black label, and I’m a HUGE fan of the first Maximo but never got to play the second so I’m hype to own the Vs Army of Zin finally. I also my S-Video cables for my PS2 came in today so I can run those through the Framemeister once my PS2 is back from the shop.

Hype.

Nice! I still have my black label FFT with the Playstation magazine insert that showed all of the job requirements and extra recruitable characters.

Nice. My original was a greatest hits version. The black label i just bought doesn’t have the insert, just the manual and such.

I think I wanna do a Tokyo Xtreme Racer long play recorded.

Question is which one?

TXR1 (DC): Only game with 60FPS, sense of speed is best, has best music, smallest track, weakest graphics.

TXR2 (DC): Better graphics, more cars, much more track. Dont care for music.

TXR Zero: (PS2) Port of TXR2, with weaker graphics overall, but more detail, music is remix of TXR1. Least favorite.

TXR 3 :(PS2) Overall the best game. 2 whole extra cities, even original track is expanded. Music is meh.

Import Tuner Challenge (360) Renamed, but is TXR. Only HD game, a lot of cut content from the previous games. Track is smaller than TXR2/Zero, 30FPS, but has cockpit view.

I would only do one of the games, there’s pros and cons to each one. For example, having just gone over and specifically drove the highways IRL, I feel that Tokyo Xtreme Racer Zero has some details that the other games dont have (like the red pavement) but it’s actually my least favorite to play. The original is the only 60FPS title and has the music (I fanboyed and played the music on the highway). The 3rd is the best overall game, the last one is the only HD one, ect…

Lawsuit getting filed on Nintendo over joy con drift

It’s a pretty big problem…something should be done about it. People are gonna be extra pissed if it happens to their Lite models.

Man, whenever I see GTA Online get new content I can’t help but think that the cardboard offline world should have received it too or a major spin off could have been produced in all this time like in the PS2 and PS3 era. As is GTA V remains overshadowed by Vice City, Vice City Stories, San Andreas, and The Ballad of Gay Tony.

P.S. I am not sure about the particulars of NIntendo Switch Joy-Con drift, but if the problem is the joysticks a simple patch increasing dead zone might just do the trick. Bonus points if it will be able to have a different dead zone for every messed up axis and adjust over time at start up.

I think I’ve mentioned this a couple times in other gaming threads, but I will be making my annual trip to Quakecon on Saturday to snag merch and other things. Also planning on walking the exhibit hall and the BYOC area too.

When I first moved to Washington my LCS was “The Spiders-Web”. It’s been long closed however. Todd McFarlane use to draw out of it though and he invested in to the store. They always pushed Spawn or anything McFarlane related stuff on to people. I read comics but I didn’t follow any, you know? I was very much a fair weather fan of comics. I only read whatever comics my cousin recommended/gave to me.

I’m still a fair weather fan in a lot of ways. Though really it’s just me being incredibly picky about how much time I want to invest in a series. Marvel/DC make it hard for me to invest my time into any of their stories due to constant retcons, reboots, time travel and multi-verses. That’s a different convo for a different day though.

Anyways. I just went there a lot cause they sold rare action figures and had imported Pokémon cards. I still have my sealed copy’s of the Pokémon Southern Islands “set” as well as my Pokémon “Neo” (Gen 2) preview binder that features the starters and their evolutions I bought from there.

On the subject of ACTUAL VIDEO GAMES I’m going to download that Oninaki demo after I eat lunch. I hope it’s as good as it looks. I don’t think any digital title is worth what they’re asking but if it’s good I’ll be excited about the inevitable price drop.

All this does it make the sticks less responsive while programming a system to guess how fucked you sticks are.

Just make better quality sticks. Its easier and cheaper in the long run.

I think it is more reasonable from a business standpoint than a major recall with free hardware fix or paying for a class action lawsuits, but I have no stake in this. Future hardware models being improved is a separate issue all together.

Shouldn’t have sold shoddy hardware in the first place.
