Video Game General 6.4: New Halo? What else?

That’s grimy AF

Haha. For sure. One of them I went to because they owned the building next door which they turned into an arcade. I was there a few times a week to play mvc2 and alpha 3 and tmnt. I never actually bought anything for them.

The owner was nice enough but him being a little too transparent with me about how he ran his store was why I never bought anything from his store.

He also tried to buy GameStop exclusive editions of games/limited editions/consoles in bulk from all the surrounding stores and then scalp them at his store. Lol

I’m now imagining a whole episode of the cartoon Mike Tyson mysteries revolving around his discovery of Balrog and going to Japan to figure out how this happened. Hilarity ensues

Gamestop partnered with global design firm R/GA to “double-down on retail innovation.” The goal seems to experiment with store designs for a fresher experience.

As it stands right now, the company’s stock is trading at a five-year low of $4.40.

Part of the 4.4%. :sunglasses:

The trophy for killing Dracula as Richter glitched out on me. I killed him like 5x+ and it still wouldn’t pop, so I ended up DELETING MY SAVE FILE and playing Rondo all over again to get it to pop. I backed up my save first though to a USB stick. I copied my old save back over with a perfect Rondo and SOTN map completion of course. :sunglasses:

Feels good mang. I think I’m going to do Bloodstained next. It doesn’t seem difficult at all, just kind of time consuming and annoying for some of the completion trophies.

Capcom doesn’t learn. Only RE4 will be on the cart for the Resident Evil triple pack on the Switch.

Well I assume having three carts (those are three separate releases, not one game with all 3) was deemed ludicrous.

The Dead Cells Very Hard [aka Impossible.] Saga continues…

…another unsuccessful run. …and to think, Very Hard difficulty was supposedly even more ridiculous a few updates ago? This game is goddamn insane, man. I made it to Hand of the King again this time…but I already knew how this would play out…I only had 22 in Survival, so health was looking really good near 40,000, but I was barely doing any damage to him.

For the uninitiated, here’s a quick rundown of this boss at the end…
it’s a relatively small area, so that seems to eliminate the advantage of the Marksman’s Bow if you have it, which does ridiculous damage at long range.

  • He frequently spams bombs all over the place; thrown in random directions.

  • He has that “Juggernaut” dashing attack which also pushes you into spiked pits on either side of the stage on top of doing damage itself…spike traps do HUGE damage in this game…I’m talkin’ 80-90% of full health. (only minimized by a certain passive you can take, but you only have 3 spots for passives)

  • He has this move where he jumps into the air and slams down, causing rocky spikes to burst up from the ground…big damage on that too, naturally. Later in the fight he does this move again and again but sometimes changing the timing of it, so he just hangs in the air for a bit before slamming, possibly throwing you off in terms of predicting it.

  • There is one point in the fight where he cannot be damaged as he summons some minions for you to fight; 1 or 2 of which are elites. There is a time limit on this segment, btw…so it’s possible he comes back into action to fight you while elites are still in there, if you didn’t kill them fast enough.

  • He summons banners that need to be destroyed before they explode in a large blast radius. Basically, you’re like an ordinary human trying to fight a cosmic entity from Marvel here…nah, bruh…you more than likely won’t win this…yet somehow it still manages to be thrilling and fun.

The absolutely insane thing is that there is a later boss actually that is far beyond this.

The capacity of the Switch carts have been increasing. The Switch port of Witcher 3 is using a 32gig cart. All three of these RE games ain’t as content rich as the Witcher. RE4 is a GameCube era game so it ain’t eating up space.

Please tell me I’m not the only one that thinks this is a rip off of a certain Genesis game theme.
It’s an in game generic theme for create a guys. Used to have this game ages ago

It’s not the size. I assume putting all three games in a single cart isn’t just as simple as putting their files in a single cart. They’d probably need to code all three games as one game with some sort of launcher, which will likely require it’s own bit of testing and certification.

4.4% is not rare for a platinum considering most people don’t go for trophies. I platinumed SFV it’s 0.2% rarity .

Naw. It’s 100% due to cutting every corner they can on costs to maximize profits.

A bonus for them is a lot of companies like Capcom still don’t like the idea of a used game market so this is one of the ways to fuck that market over.

I though the Witcher III was using a 64gb card?

Pretty sure there are no carts higher in capacity than 32GB

Nah it’s 32
