I see more reason to kick the Smash community to the curb.
FGC is already having issues without Smash shitting all over the place.

What makes it look even worse, is just a few weeks ago, another 15 year old girl won a big Tekken 7 tournament and get a free trip to CEO. And the community’s reaction couldn’t have been more different.
Also, it seems someone on kappa has compiled a list of all the cringe worthy stuff from the Smash community.

Yeah, let’s not forget Kuroda and the shit that went down with him. I may not like Smash that much, but there’s enough grime to go around.
So they should just shut down Smash and not make any tournaments, problem solved. Like do these tournaments really rake lots of cash for e-sports?
Doubtful since Nintendo refuses to support the scene at all. All they got is big numbers. Smash tends to get the highest stream views and attendance. I don’t follow their scene so I don’t know about who would sponsor them.

hell yeah some more good times in Gears 4 Horde just now… went to wave 41 this time…last several waves were with only 1 other dude since the rest of the squad quit as usual.
I still don’t get why people quit much earlier than that though…there are some runs where people quit before Wave ONE even starts…(so it couldn’t be out of frustration with how the others are playing since nothing has happened yet). That shit makes no sense at all.
Anyway, I got session in as Scout once again…mannnnn that character class is so gloriously overpowered; it’s delicious. Compared to the other characters, Scout has the defenses of a dude from Krypton. Enemies don’t start doing serious damage to you really (outside of headshots) until late game due to the bonuses they start getting. I have leveled up skill cards that give me improved regeneration and extra health; I forgot how much it is but during a LOT of a typical session I’m nearly unkillable. It’s so busted it’s hilarious. Others have to take cover…I’m getting lit up with endless rounds of enemy fire and I’m still fine…this is on top of having a ridiculous bonus to shotgun damage, btw…I think mine is +120%. 
I also got some rounds in with my Heavy character as well…I have all of them at level 10 though, so my only level-ups at this point are the skill-cards.
I mean…they do but not in a way a company usually supports a competitive game like Capcom, Bamco or Netherrealm does. The person who won CEO got an all expenses paid trip to EVO courtesy of Nintendo.
They just don’t add to prize support in any manner or host tournaments themselves outside of the invitational during E3. And when they do have the invitational they acknowledge that the players tournament history is why they’re at the invitational.
That’s about as far as it goes though.
Nintendo is such a weird company isn’t it? They don’t support their players when in fact they should since they keep their games alive. Also they sue the living shit out of people. Their lawyers are not to fuck with.
Hell I wonder if Miyamoto even listens to his fans when he’s making games.

If he did then we wouldn’t have gotten Paper Mario Color Splash and Star Fox Zero would have gotten a patch to play it with conventional controls.

Sticker Star is one of the worst games Ive ever played. I didn’t bother with Color Splash for the fact I heard and later confirmed myself that it was everything wrong about Sticker Star turned up to 11.
Star Fox Zero is the only game for Wii U I regret buying.

Except Kuroda didn’t get protected by “top player privilege” the same way Smash players like Ally are now, where most of the community is still defending this git.

Yeah, that’s the main difference. When people do grimy or terrible shit in the FGC, they generally (not always unfortunately, but generally) get the shit they deserve. With the Smash Community the only thing they ever care about is if you’re a good player who doesn’t play Smash 4 Bayo. As long as you’re not that, they’ll protect you from everything.

All I know about Smash is I would love to own the game, because it’s a literal love letter to old man gamers, but it’s on a console I don’t want to buy for 2-3 games.
Other than that I don’t care about it’s players, scene or numbers.

I love Smash Bros games, don’t follow the competitive scene but the games are great fun and always full of game history.

With all this talk of Mr. Wiz wanting to switch out SF V as the main event game for EVO finals, I hope to GOD it isn’t Smash Ultimate for 2 reasons:
- You don’t want to justify the Smash community for believing that Smash is the one that “makes” EVO.
- You don’t want Nintendo getting the main spotlight because do you REALLY want Big N’s grubby hands in EVO affairs?

If any game is gonna take SFV spot as the main-event it should be Tekken 7.

Tekken 7 as the last game is the best because it’s currently the hypest title in the genre
Smash as the last game is the best so everybody can go to sleep earlier
