To be fair they tried a more unorthodox approach last generation with games like Brütal Legend, Mirror’s Edge and Shadows of the Damned but none of those games sold. I’m still baffled to this day that they greenlit a sequel to Mirror’s Edge to be honest (glad they did though, I love those games).
I’m not going to defend their stance on microtransactions and the entire Star Wars licence shitshow that’s been going on for a good while now but reality kind of proves them right, unfortunately. It doesn’t matter what people on twitter say if they make a few billions every year selling the same sports game over and over again.

Um. Sorta? I live in a very small town. It’s about 20 minutes away from the next major city which is where all that shit is located and they’re all on the other side of said city. Even then I’d barely call it a “city”. Especially when compared to the other places I’ve traveled to or lived.
I also live in the heart of Wal-Mart country so the targets, Best Buy’s, costco’s, GameStop’s And things of that nature are extremely few and far in between to non-existent.
Growing up in Seattle and moving here (long story) was and still is very much of a culture shock. I hate it where I live.

Yo River City Girls looks fucking awesome.
They fucked both Brutal Legend and Shadows of the Damned tho. Brutal Legend was just supposed to be a multiplayer RTS/Tower Defense game but EA forced DoubleFine to include a single player story mode and to not advertise any of the rts shit so the game sold to people like me who thought it was a Rock & Roll polatformer kinda game when it’s really really not. I was so disappointed and so where many others. The game got horrible reviews across the board and sold like shit.
Shadows of the Damneds development was so tumultuous and difficult, Suda 61 called it the worst experience of hid life and talked about the massive impact it had on the games development. Its one of the big reasons he’s been a background figure for a long time now instead of a director.
So yea even when EA pretends to stick it’s neck out and do something risky they are too afraid to commit and will fuck with the developer the entire time the game is being made.
All EA has ever proven is that when they meddle they fuck shit up for everyone. That’s it.

I remember when EA use to be one of the goats, man. They gave me Mutant League Football and Hockey!
Then they fucked with Mass Effect.
For sure. I’m not even a fan of dead space (I don’t “dislike it”. It’s just not my bag.) but what they did was terrible.

EA fucked the Dead Space series royalty. Being a successful game in it’s genre wasn’t enough for EA. They had to push it to follow the mainstream trends at the time and bring it out of it’s niche. Wanting a horror game to sell what they wanted is setting it up for failure. What happened to Dead Space makes me fucking salty.

Physical edition of Ghostbuster Remake is GameStop exclusive. Plus side is it’s only $30 (I know they all look like the same link but the links are Switch/PS4/XBONE respectively)

Seeing that RCG trailer, did anybody play RCR Underground?
I did not since it is for Steam only. I have Steam but I don’t feel a need to buy it. Let alone re-download Steam.
I still need to try Tokyo Rumble. I bought it at release but I never actually played it. I think it might still be in its plastic tbh. All my DS/3DS games are packed away in my closet. I can’t even remember the last time I played my 3DS. Probably when M&L Superstar Saga remaster came out? Yeah. Sounds about right.
